This auction is for my 2004 Porsche Turbo 911 Convertible. It is a 6 speed manual transmission car with AWD standard as on all 996 turbo's. It is in silver with a black top, the traditional color for Porsche Turbos. All of the paint is in glossy new condition. No rock chips or damage on the front of the car, behind the wheel wells, anywhere! The car itself is in mint condition with only 13,100 original miles on the odometer. There has been no bodywork or paintwork. The interior is in mint condition as well. The wheelwells, the engine compartment and even the luggage compartment all look new. The car operates like it did the day it was sold brand new. Everything works just as it should. The car drives perfectly. I was told by the previous owner that the car had never set outside even one night, that it had never been driven in the rain. I know that since I have owned it the only time it has been wet was in my driveway when I was washing it! It has been stored in a climate controlled garage since day one. It is not a "new" car, but it is a 9 year old car that looks, drives and smells like new!
All services for the car have been done by an authorized Porsche dealership. I just had the oil changed and the car fully inspected. It needs nothing. The factory options are many including the painted front grilles, windscreen, stainless "turbo" sills, GPS Navigation, 6 Disc CD changer, full leather, heated power seats, Porsche crest in Headrests, White faced instruments and matching hardtop.
There are no surprises or excuses on this car. The Porsche Turbo is a true "supercar" with a bulletproof "race inspired" engine that gives the car absolutely "breathtaking" performance!! Turning heads everywhere you drive it, its amazing how little the average "car person" really knows about the 911. The 2004 996 Turbo Cab was the first Turbo convertible that Porsche made since the 80's. The brakes, handling, acceleration and just about every other aspect of this cars performance is considered "supercar" by most everyones standards. The turbo 3.6 Mezger designed engine has none of the inherent flaws of the "non-turbo" 3.6 engine of the standard 911.
See my feedback and bid with confidence. I will work with your hauler if you need me to. Please email me with any questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Thanks for looking!

Porsche rolls out new 919 Hybrid at racing gala
Mon, 16 Dec 2013That Porsche is returning to Le Mans next year with a top-tier LMP1 entry is no news - we've known that for some time. We've even seen pictures of the car in question undergoing testing at various racetracks across Europe, been told who'll be driving it and given some basic parameters of what will make it go. We just haven't known what to call it, but now we do.
In detailing its full endurance racing program for next year at its Night of Champions in Weissach, Porsche has revealed that its new LMP1 racecar will be called the 919 Hybrid. So, something like the 918 Spyder, only one faster. With a four-cylinder engine and a pair of electric motors, the 919 Hybrid will be taking on the top class at Le Mans next year, with a compelling roster of drivers on the docket: along with Mark Webber, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani, Porsche has assigned its works driver Marc Lieb and F1 test driver Brendon Hartley to the effort. But that's not all Porsche has in store.
The factory is also supporting teams that will campaign the 911 RSR in the FIA World Endurance Championship as well as the United SportsCar Championship here in the US, taking Porsche off the pit wall and right in the race seat for next year as part of a comprehensive new racing program, details of which you can read in the press release below.
Force India F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg will drive a Porsche at Le Mans
Mon, Dec 1 2014Sahara Force India Formula One driver Nico Hulkenberg is officially part of the Porsche factory team for next year's 24 Hours of Le Mans; the last time a current F1 driver got permission from his team to compete in the world's biggest endurance race was in 2009 when Toro Rosso let Sebastien Bourdais pilot for Peugeot. That will make it an even busier May and June for Hulkenberg, who will get to know the 919 Hybrid in race trim by driving the 6 Hours of Spa on May 2. He'll follow that with two F1 races in May, then do the Le Mans practice day on May 31, race for Force India at the Canadian Grand Prix on June 7, be in action for Porsche at Le Mans the next weekend, then back in a Force India the following weekend in Austria. Hulkenberg is the first driver to be named for Porsche's third LMP1 in next year's race, and we already know that former F1 colleague Mark Webber will be in one of the other cars. The other two drivers joining the German haven't been named yet, but speculation is that Porsche GT drivers in the manufacturer team are on the shortlist. Numerous observers also think it could be a suitable job for a certain Englishman who might have competed in his last race for McLaren...
Porsche calling in two Cayennes
Sun, Jan 4 2015We regularly see recalls addressing all manner of problems (or potential problems) affecting any number of vehicles: hundreds, thousands, even millions. Some are too small to bother reporting, but once in a while one comes along that's so ridiculously small that we couldn't pass it over. Like this latest one from Porsche. "Due to a manufacturing error," says the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the notice below, "the suspension alignment on the front and rear axles may not have been performed correctly and the screw connections of the camber, toe and caster may not have been tightened with the specified torque." The recall affects the 2015 Cayenne... but just how many of them, you ask? Two. Not two hundred, not two thousand, but two: one Cayenne Diesel and one Cayenne S, manufactured between November 26 and... November 27, 2014. That very well might make this the most methodically German recall in the history of recalls. If you happen to be the owner of one of those two vehicles, expect to hear from Porsche with instructions to bring your Cayenne in to have the suspension re-aligned and the screws tightened. RECALL Subject : Front and Rear Alignment may be Incorrect Report Receipt Date: DEC 29, 2014 NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V824000 Component(s): SUSPENSION Potential Number of Units Affected: 2 Manufacturer: Porsche Cars North America, Inc. SUMMARY: Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain model year 2015 Cayenne Diesel and Cayenne S vehicles manufactured November 26, 2014, to November 27, 2014. Due to a manufacturing error, the suspension alignment on the front and rear axles may not have been performed correctly and the screw connections of the camber, toe and caster may not have been tightened with the specified torque. CONSEQUENCE: If the suspension alignment was incorrectly performed, vehicle handling could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash. REMEDY: Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will perform a front and rear suspension alignment, and check the screw connections for the proper torque, retightening as necessary, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification date. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AF04. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
