The current Original Owner wanted this Porsche to be a One of a Kind, so
he had the 911 Design Race Shop, best in the country, install the Turbo
charger,  open air box, Program ECU, on this Porsche !.. Loren Beggs,
President of 911 Design, is World renowned for winning 7 or 8 races in a
row with his Turbo Porsche... He will back his statement that this car is one
of the fastest, if not the fastest, "Turbo" he has built.  He says he can't explain
why the car is turning over 500 HP; he guesses about 525 HP !... Granatelli's
Dyno test showed 508 HP; no paper work to prove it though, because the Dyno
was fairly new at the time and unable to give a print out, but Granatelli will
authorize the findings and confirm how fast the car is.... He test drove it and
said it was faster than his GT2 !... This Porsche has a Very Special Limited
"Gold" window Tint !... This tint was only offered to professional companies !...
This tinting actually has real gold in it and it really sets the car apart from all
others....The wheel coating on the driver's side rear wheel has some flaking....
5-Speed Tiptronic Automatic Trans !..  Leather Seats!..Heated Front Seats !..
Sun Roof !.. Fast & Fun !..The owner is a Jet Pilot and not easily accessible
for answers, so I will try to answer questions the best I can... Thank You !

2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS proves performance is relative

Thu, Nov 20 2014

The Turbo may be the most powerful model in the Cayenne range, but the GTS is arguably the enthusiast's choice. (In so far as a 4,500-pound crossover can be considered an "enthusiast's choice," anyway.) And now, after refreshing the rest of the Cayenne lineup, Porsche has revealed the new Cayenne GTS, alongside its new 911 GTS stablemate, here at the LA Auto Show. Like the new Cayenne S, the new GTS drops the previous version's atmospheric V8 for a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, but ups the output to 440 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque to propel Zuffenhausen's portliest to 62 in a scant 5.2 seconds. Alongside the power upgrade, the GTS gets a lowered air suspension and sportier exhaust, the beefier brakes from the Cayenne Turbo and an upgraded aero kit to help with the whole barn-door-profile thing. Just don't expect all that extra kit and the prestige of a Porsche badge on your crossover to come cheap, with prices starting at $95,500 (plus $995 destination).

Porsche 918 Spyder to birth stretched 2+2 version?

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

Porsche is known for its ability to spin off a litter of variants from a single model, and according to a report in Automobile the 918 Spyder (pictured here) might not be spared the house trick. Having taken too many brains and too much money for too much time, company chiefs are said to be examining ways to get more for their development euro out of the supercar, and Plan A is apparently otherwise known as Plan 984. That would be a four-seater, rear-wheel drive supercar that uses a stretched mold of the 918's carbon fiber tub, keeping the V8 in the same mid-mounted place and costing around 350,000 euro.
That would be less than half the MSRP of its inspiration, but the details don't sketch out a car that's just half as good. Automobile speculates it would get something like 700 horsepower in order to best the coming 911 GT2, and about 440 pound-feet of torque. The 984 is quite a ways short of being confirmed; even though a full-size study is said to exist, it's like the 918 would need to become a bigger sales hit for the 984 to happen.
The 984's fortunes don't change those of the 960, the supercoupe Porsche is building to challenge Ferrari. Its potential specs haven't changed since the last report in January, power coming from a 5.0-liter, twin-turbo, eight-cylinder boxer engine with something like 650 hp pushing a curb weight of roughly 3,100 pounds. The means a suspected 0-to-60 mile-per-hour time of 2.5 seconds.

EVO "2012 Car of the Year: The Track Battles" is a sports car salmagundi

Sun, 25 Nov 2012

EVO has come out with another gotta-watch-it video, throwing its 2012 Car of the Year contestants around the UK's 1.5-mile Blyton Park track. It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.
You'll find the verdicts, lots of tire smoke, and lines like "Anything you can do sideways I can do sideways" in the video below.
