2002 - Porsche 911 on 2040-cars
Turney, Missouri, United States
2002 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet. We purchased the vehicle just as shown in the pictures approaching two years ago from the Ferrari/Lamborghini dealer in St. Louis Missouri. We're a multiple Porsche family and have been for years. This is by far one the best looking vehicles we've ever owned. My wife asked me several years ago to purchase her a "6 speed" to drive as she's always driven manuals. Well, this is what I picked out and she been giving me s#%@ ever since! "I picked out what I wanted and didn't consider what she wanted and or needed" so she says. Never the less, I ended up buying her (another) a stock Porsche this spring so she'd shut up. Now, the guys don't follow her and the family around town looking at the vehicle.....as much. The Porsche has had tens of thousands of dollars spent on it. From the updated front and rear bumpers. Ground effects, including the sweet rear wing and turbo vents were added. All exterior lighting, including the headlights and taillights were updated. An awesome set of wheels and tires (235/35ZR19 Frts and 285/30ZR19 Rears) were matched to vehicle after it was lowered an inch and a half. Stainless steel exhaust with black chrome tips were added. It sounds way better than most Porsches, including twin turbos. The radio was update with a CD/MP3 player. Original radio comes with. A built in trickle charger was installed for the long periods when the car is not driven. The vehicle has 48,934 miles on it and the overall condition is excellent. It needs no services and repairs! I might suggest changing the oil because time on current oil with hardly no miles.

Porsche Macan caught completely uncovered
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Porsche is preparing to launch its sub-Cayenne CUV, with a suspected debut at the 2013 Los Angeles International Auto Show, which means we're right about at the point where undisguised models start scampering around the cities and towns of Germany. Our spy photographers snagged just such a model, with only the headlights and taillights concealed by camouflage (no, those comically large lamps aren't a production item).
The undisguised car looks like a tiny Cayenne. Not really surprising, we know, but it's impressive to see how the Cayenne's styling works with the smaller proportions of the Macan. It looks squat, athletic and poised, like it's a small, "sporty" crossover we'd actually want to drive. Both the Macan and the Macan Turbo are shown, with the more powerful model sporting a set of quad exhausts.
The only big questions now concern the shape of the lights and the interior. From the photos, we can see a rough outline of the headlights, although the taillights are more difficult to discern. The interior remains a mystery.

Porsche's latest Driver's Selection keeps enthusiasts happy at home
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Porsche fans - and there are certainly plenty of them out there, even in here on the Autoblog editorial staff - can be pretty emphatic about their enthusiasm, insisting that the 911 is the very definition of the sportscar. And for some, merely admiring one from afar or even leaving theirs parked outside isn't enough. For just such enthusiats, Porsche Design has expanded its Driver's Selection with some tantalizing additions for the home and office.
First up is a desk chair made from the bucket seat in a 911 Carrera, which we have to admit we'd rather be sitting in right now over this blasted, rather unexciting ergonomic office chair. It's covered in black leather (the same you'd find inside an actual 911) embossed with the Porsche emblem and features electronic backrest adjustment.
There's also a wall shelf made from the carbon-fiber rear spoiler a 911 GT3 Cup racecar that can support up to 264 pounds of downforce in the form of books, trinkets and whathaveyou. And there's a limited-edition resin model of the 918 Spyder in 1:8 scale. The items haven't hit the Porsche shop just yet, so we don't have pricing information, but if they tickle your fancy, the online store has plenty more to offer.
