1990 Guards Red Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Convertible with Tiptronic automatic transmission. Pretty much everything is still original on the car except for the stealth Kenwood CD player. The paint is original and has held up incredibly well for being 25 years old. It's not perfect and you will see imperfections when you look at it closely with the naked eyes but overall still very impressive. The interior is nice and clean with little wear. I do have pretty decent service records on the car. There was major service maintenance at 80k miles where they replace the caps, rotors, spark plugs, filters, v-belts, etc and checked out a whole bunch of other stuff normally done at 90k miles. The tires are brand new. They’re Michelin Pilot Exalto Ultra Performance. I also have the tonneau cover for the convertible soft top. The car runs great and has been well maintained and always kept in the garage.

Porsche 911: Big in Taiwan
Fri, 09 Aug 2013Porsche is continuing celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of its iconic 911. In its latest video, it's gone to Taiwan, to interview some of the folks that have grown passionate about the rear-engined sportscar over the years.
By and large, the views expressed in this video could have come from anywhere in the world. The 911 is a great car and that doesn't change from country to country. These enthusiasts have the same passion that fans in England, the United States or Germany have for the Carrera. Porsche kicks off Macan production at revamped Leipzig plant
Sun, 16 Feb 2014After over two years of construction and roughly 500 million euros ($684 million at current rates) invested, Porsche finally opened its Leipzig, Germany, factory expansion on February 11. The improvements to the plant are dedicated to building the Macan and include a new body shop, paint shop and assembly line that are advancing Porsche's goal to sell 50,000 Macan's per year. The company believes that the new model is going to push it to over 200,000 annual sales 3 years ahead of schedule, and the enlarged branch can support even more Macan production, if there is demand.
"We are totally convinced in the qualities of this location and that the Macan will be a marketing success," said Porsche Chairman Matthias Müller during the opening celebration. The company opened its Leipzig factory in 2002 to build the Cayenne and added Panamera production in 2009.

VW confirms development of 10-speed dual clutch, 134-hp/liter diesel
Fri, 26 Apr 2013Each year, the Vienna International Motor Symposium showcases some of the up-and-coming technologies automakers are engineering for the use in passenger cars, and Volkswagen AG CEO Martin Winterkorn revealed some big developments VW is working on for its future products. Winterkorn discussed a multi-faceted approach that VW is looking to reduce its fleet fuel consumption and exhaust emissions.
Some of the bigger news he discussed included a "high-performance" diesel engine that will produce 134 horsepower per liter and a 10-speed DSG automatic transmission. While no specific applications were mentioned, we can only hope this is for the Audi R4 we keep hearing about.
Another topic he touched on that caused us to perk up our ears was had to do with VW's plug-in hybrid technology. While we know the PHEV versions of the Audi A3 and Porsche Panamera are on the way, Winterkorn also said that these two models will be followed up by Golf, Passat, Audi A6 and Porsche Cayenne plug-in models.
