This 911T began life as a 1313 code India Red car but has been repainted in a very nice Red Metallic similar to the special order 8181 code correct for this year. The car is to the best of my knowledge rust free with original floor boards, suspension pan, nose of the car, wheel wells, and other trouble zones in great shape. It has a black interior including seats, dash, headliner, carpets, etc. The vehicle has been converted to a tribute style car with cues from RS, RSR, and ST cars. Has a running 1975 911s 2.7 liter motor with real Weber 40s made in Italy. Car runs and drives but needs to be gone through/tuned to run at its best. This car comes with many receipts from 1998-present totaling over $25k which doesn't cover everything on the car but a significant amount of it. Receipts include motor swap, paint and trim work, carpets, suspension, brakes, etc. This is a really solid car that gets looks everywhere.

Highlights:

- Rust free car

- Accident free

- Clean and clear title

- Very nice Red Metallic Paint

- All seals on car replaced and excellent

- Ducktail (fiberglass)

- 911s front bumper (fiberglass)

- Steel rear wide fenders

- Steel rear bumper

- Bright work all in exceptional condition

- Perfect Bosch H-4s with halogen bulbs

- Nice front and rear lenses

- RS rearview mirror

- New rear decklid grille

- 1975 911s 2.7

- 901 5spd transmission

- Carrera tensioners and other necessary updates

- Turbo Valve covers

- Early Weber 40s made in Italy just resealed

- Bursch headers

- Dansk Sport exhaust 2in/2out

- New calipers, slotted rotors, pads

- New suspension, bearings, tie rod ends, rebuilt c/v axles

- Front and rear adjustable sway bars (Weltmeister)

- Fuch 16x7 and 16x8 wheels

- New black carpet

- Very cool vintage Momo steering wheel

- New over shoulder seatbelts installed

- Clean recovered dash with no cracks

- Nice original door panels with excellent pockets

This car has had one owner since 1996 and is now ready to find a new home. These early long hood cars are harder and harder to find in this kind of overall condition and the prices are continuing to go up. Paint/body is in great shape with only some minor chips and marks. All the lights work properly, along with the other electrical components.

Please look through the many pictures and videos of this 911 as they tell the story best. If you have any questions please ask and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.

Car is listed with 'Buy It Now' but I will entertain realistic offers from serious buyers. Please do not make an offer unless you intend to stand by it, have the funds available, etc. You are more than welcome to have a pre purchase inspection completed. Do not bid unless you intend to buy and I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending. I can assist in arranging transportation to anywhere in the world if necessary.

Lastly this auction is a contract to buy, any inspections, negotiating and so forth need to be completed prior to the end of auction. Car is sold as-is with no warranty or returns offered or implied.

Porsche announces four flavors of updated Cayenne [w/video]

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

The new Macan may be getting all the attention lately, but Porsche hasn't forgotten about its larger crossover - the one that put it on the map in 2002 and on the road to profitability, with over half a million sold so far. So to keep the Cayenne at the top of its game, Porsche has announced several key upgrades for the 2015 model.
For starters, Porsche has updated the Cayenne's appearance with new front- and rear-end styling. The front bumper, fenders and hood are entirely new, with air fins flanking the nose to direct air into the intercoolers (each model now being artificially aspirated), and new bi-xenon headlamps and daytime running LEDs on every model but the Turbo, which goes all-LED. Around back there's also new taillights, tailgate handle, lower rear fascia and exhaust pipes. Meanwhile the interior has been upgraded with a 918-derived sport steering wheel and reformed rear seats with available ventilation.
The bigger news is under the engine bay, where Porsche is offering four choices. The base model is gone as the range starts with the Cayenne Diesel, followed by the Cayenne S, the new Cayenne S E-Hybrid and the top-of-the-line Cayenne Turbo. The Diesel model carries over the same 3.0-liter turbo diesel with 240 horsepower. The Cayenne S however packs a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 that's similar to the one found in the Macan Turbo and packs the same 406 lb-ft of torque but more power at 420 hp, 20 more than either its little brother or the model it replaces to reach 62 mph in 5.2 seconds.

Father-son team grows close by building tuned Porsche

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

We've seen several heartwarming videos of kids bonding over cars with their parents, whether racing together or giving them as gifts. The story of Leh Keen and his father McGrath, though, is somewhat different. Not many dads are looking for a vehicle quite this mental.
As Leh tells it, his dad saw a video online of one of the wild Porsches from Japanese tuner Rauh-Welt Begriff and decided that he needed one of the creations in his own garage. Since Leh knows something about cars himself as a driver for Alex Job Racing in the United SportsCar Championship, McGrath put his son in charge of managing the build from the company.
When the car made it to the US for completion from Rauh's famed builder Nakai, father and son bonded over the red, widebody 993-platform 911. The final product is certainly eye-catching. Scroll down to watch the video that features not only an engrossing father-son tale but also a seriously wicked, tuned Porsche from one of Japan's finest.

Porsche's Mauer recalls the history of the 918 Spyder, hints about next-gen 911

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

The night before Porsche handed me the keys to its 2015 Macan to drive on both road and track, the company threw together a great dinner for the assembled media in Leipzig. Hosted in Porsche's spaceship-shaped customer delivery center in the eastern German town, I'll admit that I spent the bulk of my night grabbing hors d'oeuvres from passing waiters (they do a nice tuna sashimi), milling around a collection of historic and interesting vehicles on the top floor and gulping down Warsteiner.
In an era of mega car companies, the story of how the 918 came to be was really refreshing.
Before the evening was over, however, Porsche design chief Michael Mauer stopped by my table to exchange pleasantries and thank us all for coming out to drive the Macan. My fellow diners and I passed a pleasant half-hour or more picking the brain of the forthcoming Mauer, and somehow or another, the topic turned to Porsche's newest supercar, the 918 Spyder. In an era of mega car companies (the Volkswagen Group included) and massive development teams, the story of how the 918 came to be is really refreshing.
