This is my 1968 Porsche 911 Matching numbers Project. It has 47000miles on it. I had the intent to restore this car to a nice driver quality car. It is about 95% complete. but will need finished. This is a rare Normale 68 911 with a lot of one year only parts. I need to move on as I have a 4 month old daughter and am moving in the next couple of months.

EXTERIOR:    This car has paint with about 1 mile on it. It looks Excellent and is done in the original burgundy red Paint code 6808. it has mostly brand new trim and new seals all around. The windows are all original and that is pretty rare. The front window is not currently installed. It is completely solid but has had some rust repair that doesn't look perfect on the front suspension pan and the floor, I will include a new Factory front suspension pan with the car. But it is solid and can be used as is. The hood is currently closed and will not open, the cable is not broken and feels like it should open but I cannot get it opened.

INTERIOR:     The interior is almost all brand new also. The dash has been recovered. The front seats are 100% new and perfect. the headliner is new, the seals are new and the original radio turns on and works but is not hooked up to a speaker. It will need to be finished being put together on the interior.

MECHANICAL: engine number 3280979.  Again almost all components are rebuilt or new. It does Run, steer, turn, stop, and brake. The brakes were completely rebuilt. the clutch works and grabs well. The Engine runs all the way up to redline very well. The WEBER 40IDA's were Professionally rebuilt. Although they do need tuned to this engine. It shifts into all gears and has all new bushings throughout the linkage and pedals. It will need a new exhaust as its current one has holes in it and is loud. It has brand new tires and a new battery.

I have a free and clear title in my name.
International shipping is fine but Buyer must arrange.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Watch a Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover SVR, and Cherokee SRT drag race

Thu, Mar 17 2016

We live in a weird world where high-performance SUVs could win a 60-mile-per-hour sprint against sports cars from just a few years ago. Here, Top Gear sets up a three-way drag race against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and the results show just how quickly these high-riding models can cross the quarter mile. The Cherokee SRT is the patriotic choice among the three, but it's down on power in this fight. Meanwhile, the Range Rover's menacing growl sounds the best, and the Cayenne Turbo S has the most horsepower. You'll have to watch the video to see which SUV will win this battle. Related Video:

Porsche becomes first company to rent out Vatican's Sistine Chapel

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

We wouldn't go so far as to say God is a Porsche fan, but those in charge of one of the holiest Christian spots on our little blue marble are welcoming the German automaker into one of the religion's most revered and beautiful settings - the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. In so doing, Porsche will reportedly become the first company to rent out the holy hall for a corporate function.
Now, it's not like Pope Francis has signed off on Porsche doing do donuts in a 911 underneath Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam. Instead, the Vatican has rented out the home of the Papal Conclave to the Porsche Travel Club, which will host a classical music concert. The Travel Club organizes events and tours across Europe for Porsche enthusiasts, with the Vatican concert just one part of a tour of Rome.
According to Automotive News Europe, Porsche will sell 40 tickets - at 5,000 euros each ($6,379) - to the event, while the Vatican has confirmed that the Pope will not be in attendance.
