This is a great 1968 911 SWB coupe, California car that is a COA matching number car with 911S options and
upgrades. Polo Red with black interior , matching # engine upgraded to 2.5 911S specs with Webers and has Fuchs
wheels . I bought this car from the second owner in California , car has been stored for many years in Monterey

engine smoked a bit and had oil leaks and the paint was a checked up , so we took it apart to re-spray the paint
and go through all the Mechanicals . Its always such a pleasure to work on these early Porsche cars , specially
when they are so original and have no rust ' BODY This car was taken completely apart, then stripped to bare
metal (Soda Blasted), epoxy primed , then prepped and a high quality original color Paint was sprayed on the car.
This car has no rust, great bodied , no accident car and is a very solid car. All new German rubbers and seals
were used to assemble the car.
INTERIOR is mostly original, but the seats, headliner and carpets are new from Auto's International. the wood
wheel is original to the car Note the dash Dash and door sills has the 911S trim and emblem.
THE ENGINE is based on the original block # 3280316 matching and has been upgraded to a 2.5 liter 911S spec engine
. This is a very special engine rebuild included a std Polished counter balanced 2.4 911S crank (magged for
cracks), all new bearings . Rebuilt 4 rib oil pump, new pistons with aluminum cylinders, heads are upgraded to RS
big valves and ports, new guides, intake valves, springs chains, ramps, Teflon seals and HYD Carrera pressure fed
Tensioners , turbo aluminum valve covers. The cams are from Doughtaly Racing Cams DC-30 grind (between a 911E &
911S spec) they work great . The Weber carbs have been upgraded to S specs too, (larger jets and venturies). The
engine still looks correct for 1968 except for the late hyd tensioners) and SSI stainless steel exhaust. But it
sure runs great, crisp, and lots of power.
TRANSMISSION is the original 5 speed and has been rebuilt. All new shift and peddle bushings installed . New clutch
and cable too.
SUSPENSION & BRAKES This car came from the factory with 911S suspension and brakes, vent front rotors, we have
taken it all apart rebuilt and rebuilt the konis, installed new bushings, master (duel) and brakes .
This car runs and drives great and is a fast, solid car .

Porsche 911 with VW turbodiesel prepares for LeMons assault
Fri, 21 Mar 2014LeMons racing is a wonderful example that setting limits can actually breed creativity. The series mandates that all entries must cost $500, not counting safety equipment, and that cap forces teams to be ingenious in how they build a racecar. Take for example this diesel-powered Porsche 911, which its creators have dubbed Ferkel the Nein-11, that will be racing in the Sears Pointless race this weekend in Sonoma, California.
This Frankenstein combines a 911 chassis that was originally bought just for its European powertrain and a Volkswagen TDI diesel engine mounted in the rear. After deciding the shell could still be of some use, the team decided to go racing. "We began brainstorming what replacement drivetrain to use for maximum offense and there was really only one answer: a diesel," said Philipp von Weitershausen, one of the team captains, to Jalopnik. They bought a 1998 Jetta TDI on the cheap and started figuring out a way to hack the engine into the bay. To pay respect to the donor, the VW's trunk was highly modified (and drilled) and grafted onto the back of Ferkel.
This team isn't a newcomer to LeMons. Its last car was a classic VW Beetle with a Subaru engine and dual controls, named Ferdinand the Bug, which could be driven from the left or right side. It's quite a sight.
Watch onboard video of the Porsche 918 Spyder's record 'Ring lap
Tue, 10 Sep 2013"Pics or it didn't happen!" You could almost hear the Internet shouting this when news started to trickle in about a sub-seven-minute Nürburgring lap by the new Porsche 918 Spyder. Well, after an official press release, which we ran earlier today, we have your "pics." Moving pics, to be more exact. Porsche has released on-board footage of the 6:57 lap.
The video, which runs about eight-and-a-half minutes, and shows the 918 from inside the car on a flying lap of the German track. Perhaps what's remarkable is just how undramatic it all looks. Sure, there's some sawing at the wheel from test driver Marc Lieb (one of three testers, including legendary rally king Walter Röhrl), but he makes wrangling the Martini-liveried 918 look kind of easy.
Take a look down below for the full, on-board video, and then click over and read our initial write-up from earlier this morning and take a glance at the more stylized video that Porsche originally posted.
Mark Webber treats Maria Sharapova to a Porsche 918 Spyder joyride
Tue, 29 Apr 2014We don't much like Mark Webber right now. Part of being a racing driver is dealing with promotional stuff. It's not hard to find a driver that can't stand all this nonsense, whether it be promoting a product, meeting investors or attending some obscure event. Even a driver of Webber's caliber - a former Formula One driver for Red Bull Racing and a member of Porsche's factory Le Mans team - has to serve his time at the promo events.
Somehow, though, we don't think the Aussie driver minds this particular promo detail. In the video below, Webber attends the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. He then takes tennis superstar Maria Sharapova out for a spin behind the wheel of the Porsche 918 Spyder. The level of jealousy at the Autoblog office is palpable.
Take a look below for the video. And as we're super jealous of Mr. Webber, hop into Comments and caption the above photo based on what you think he's saying to Maria. Bonus points if you can work "vegemite" into the caption.
