Here is a nicely freshened up and sorted out Vintage Speedsters Brand 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster, with a very reasonable reserve. The car has kmh speedo, and it shows 19,450km, which translates to 12,140mph, and I have left it that way purely for the look. Everything on the car works great, including all the lights and accessories. The car sat in a building for awhile, and during the freshen up the Motor/Transmission was completely gone through about 2,000 miles ago, and at the same time the trans syncros and all the shifter bushings and motor mounts were changed, so this thing Shifts with ease with no trying to find gears. It has had the brakes gone through, and is a Front Disc Brake car, so stopping is not an issue. The Canvas Convertible top is only about 2 weeks old, so there isnt any fading or shrinking, so everything on the car looks very fresh. The paint is about 6 months old, so there isnt any rock chips or door chips in the paint, so it looks pretty fresh also. As you can see in the supplied YouTube video below, it is very hard to video this car, because it is to clean and bright, but I will try to make another video one morning or evening when the sun is lower.
Since it has warmed up in our area, I have been driving this car as a daily driver, and it is a very solid car. I live in a rural area, so from town to town is normally a 50 mile round trip, and the car cruises great down the interstate at speed. The Steering and Suspension is very tight, and the body is very solid with no squeeks or rattle, and I guess that is due to the reputable quality of the build brand. It has a nice CD/Stereo and is a very comfortable ride, so it has been a pleasure to drive. I have had alot of cars over the years, along with several various kit cars, and I have to admit these 356 Kits are very well sorted out, so you dont feel like you are driving some sort of piece together piece of crap like the old Bradley's and others.. LOL The car is currently registered and titled as a 1969 VW, so all the paperwork in current and in order.
Here is the YouTube video Link I have now, and I will try to get another one done and posted, possibly this evening when the sun goes down a bit.. This car is Clean and Bright, so I will have to catch right before dusk, in order for my Camera to not pick up all the glare.
This car is ready to go, and is ready to enjoy. I have a very low reserve on this car, and it thousands below what I have seen other lesser cars sell for on here, so it should sell.. I also have it advertised locally, so the auction can end at anytime.. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or need any additional information or pictures, because I want to represent this car as honestly as possible. I personally drive the car daily, so I can tell you exactly what I know about this car. I also have a very reputable and reasonable auto transporter I use, who is normally about half what Ebay Transporters Charge, and I will be happy to share that information with serious buyers, so you can get a shipping quote that will allow you to final total this sales transaction.

Here is another video that was done in the evening, so there isnt as much glare..

Ferrari IPO may turn out to be good news for enthusiasts
Tue, Oct 27 2015Sergio Marchionne's strategy to spin off Ferrari from FCA and make the Italian automaker a publicly traded company has been met with ire from a vocal contingent of enthusiasts ever since rumors about the plan began to surface a few years ago. Some of these particularly pessimistic automotive pundits have voiced fears that with stockholders in the mix, it would not only spell the demise of the exclusive Italian supercar maker as we know it, but would in fact "ruin" the company. Call me dense, but I fail to see what the issue is. That isn't to say that I don't understand what's causing the fear. When profitability becomes a higher priority for a brand that's historically relied on exclusivity to keep its products in the highest echelons of desirability, there's a high potential for internal philosophical conflict. And then there are concerns about the sorts of products that Ferrari might develop that aren't the high-performance sports cars that the brand is known for. But individuals with those apprehensions seem to forget that Ferrari has already lent its name to a multitude of things that are not LaFerraris, 488 GTBs, or F12 Berlinettas, including clothing, headphones, and even laptops. But let's assume for a moment that the core anxiety is about future vehicles – including the unspeakable notion that Ferrari might develop an SUV. Why wouldn't Ferrari build an SUV, especially after seeing how incredibly successful that endeavor has been for Porsche? I think it's likely that Ferrari will put engineers to task creating some sort of crossover or high-rolling cruiser with room for the whole family at some point in the near future. And why wouldn't it, after seeing how incredibly successful that endeavor has been for Porsche? After all, the Cayenne accounted for more US sales in 2013 than the Boxster, Cayman, 911, and 918 combined, and it only gave up about a thousand units of sales last year to make room for the Macan crossover, the latter of which Porsche sold nearly as many of as it did Boxsters and Caymans. People want these vehicles, and they're willing to pay quite a bit of money for them. If we use Porsche's recent trajectory as a foreshadowing metric for what's in store for Ferrari, the future actually looks pretty good. After all, those SUV sales keep plenty of cash in Porsche's coffers for the low-volume projects that we enthusiasts love, like the 918 Spyder and the 911 GT3 RS.
2014 Porsche 911 GT3 [w/video]
Thu, 01 Aug 2013The Bearable Lightness Of Being
Start with a standard Porsche 911 Carrera and its 350-horsepower, 3.6-liter flat six-cylinder engine. Bore a crepe-thin slice of aluminum from each cylinder to get to 3.8 liters, add a wider track out back and two extra exhaust pipes and voila, you can append an S to the Carrera's name. Hang two sets of wet, multi-disc clutches along its spine and you can make that a 4, or a 4S. Bolt on two forced-induction compressors and piping, add two fender vents and comically wide rear tires and you've redeemed your ticket to a Turbo. Increase the boost pressure and swell the corral to 560 horses and you have the Turbo S, which is the Virginia Slims of the 911 line-up because it's come a long way, baby.
Or you can go in a different direction. At that second stop, grab the 3.8-liter and cart it over to the engineers at Porsche's development center in Weissach, Germany. If racing were meat, they would be among the alpha carnivores. The baseboards in their homes are probably painted with miniature billboards for motor oil and vintage cigarettes along the straights, red-and-white stripes around every corner.
Porsche Cayenne shows a bit more face, plug-in spotted
Fri, 14 Mar 2014Porsche was first rumored to be working on a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the Cayenne over a year ago. However, we had never seen it, until now. The new model was caught almost completely undisguised while testing. In another stroke of luck, we got a glimpse of the upcoming facelift for Porsche's SUV (pictured above) as well.
According to the spy shooter, it was windy during the cars' cold weather testing. The cover blew off of the facelifted Cayenne, and there was enough time to snap these pictures before it could be hidden again. The changes are all quite minor but jive with what we saw the last time it was spied. The rear still wears some cladding but is expected to be hiding lights similar to the Macan.
The second gallery shows off the upcoming Cayenne PHEV. It looks nearly identical to the standard model, except for the extra panel on the driver's side of the car that hides the electric port. One image even shows the car plugged in. The new version is expected to use the same supercharged 3.0-liter V6 and 9.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack with a combined 416 horsepower and 435 pound-feet of torque from the Panamera S E-Hybrid. We enjoyed the system when we tested it last year. It's rumored to debut on the SUV sometime this year.
