1964 Porsche 356 on 2040-cars
West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, United States
If interested, you should come and take a look. The car is an excellent restoration project. It had the floors , rockers ,longs, and other structural parts replaced. The front suspension has been done. There are panels on the car that will need attention, but not much rust. There is damage to one side of the windshield post, I have a replacement , or the orig could be repaired. no headliner, but has most interior minus rugs and mats. Unkinked hood.
I believe the engine # matches the car, but I'm not guaranteeing that. It is of the correct manufacture date to be original, so at the least it is a super motor that is close. The motor could be freshened (for leaks, but it is the best running of any c motor I have had. The clutch, pressure plate and throwout were new 1500 mi. ago. Flywheel turned, and balanced. I am selling the car because I have too many projects and too little space.I have tried to take pictures of areas that need attention .I don't want to spend much time with someone that is unwilling to do a PRE sale inspection. The engine runs well, and the car could be driven with a bit of work. Original color is Ruby with Black. |

Top Gear brings together LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918
Mon, Jan 26 2015Earlier this month, Top Gear released a brief video of the comparison test between three hybrid hypercars we'd all been waiting for: the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. The story was done by the print magazine and not by the television show, and the video they released was barely over half a minute long, reserving the full version for subscribers of the iPad edition. Now the British mag has put the full video on YouTube, and while it's still only a minute and a half long – three times the length of the previous teaser – it's packed with electrified exotic goodness. The test surely took some serious wrangling to put together, and though the metal (or carbon fiber, as the case may be) was apparently furnished mostly by private owners, to hear Top Gear tell it, the manufacturers – Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche – were eager and helpful in putting the showdown together. For the final conclusions, we're afraid you'll still have to buy the magazine, but for a rare chance to watch all these three world-beaters on the same road at the same time, you'll want to scope out this latest video clip.
