It's color is to factory specification Slate Grey exterior with black interior (color number 6201). This vehicle is fully documented with service records dating back since new, original purchase order and bill of sale, I also has a picture of the original owner standing next to the vehicle when he purchased it new on October 1st 1962 in the South of France, I also have pictures of the vehicle being restored back in September 1977. I have documentation with the names and dates of all previous owner 4 in total besides me, this vehicle is also registered in the Porsche Registry. The previous owner to me purchased the vehicle back in 1985 shortly there after he had the engine completely gone through and rebuilt, in the early 2000's he parked the vehicle in his garage that he had built solely for the Porsche and there it stood until I acquired it. I had the fuel pump and carberators rebuilt, put in a new battery and some fresh gas and she fired right up and purred like a kitten. I haven't done much with the vehicle since, it's stored in my garage and I hardly get to drive it, so the wife says its got to go.... We're making room for the new addition to the family our new baby girl, so I guess my old baby girls gotta go and most likely be replaced with something super uncool like a minivan lol :-)  This truly is an awesome Porsche super rare, solid, and just plain gorgeous. Believe me when I tell you your not gonna find such a greatly documented well preserves 356 out there especially one with the low reserve price I have set. I don't have to tell you that Porches are climbing up in value every day and getting harder and harder to come by and prices going through the roof, so don't miss your chance to own this great Porsche 356B Super 90 before they get out of reach.... This vehicle is being offed at auction for 7days only, if you bid please be aware that you are bidding to buy, I require a PayPal deposit immediately after close of auction and full payment within 3days... So if you have any  questions or concerns or would like to view the vehicle prior to bidding email or call me at (360) 521-2561 thanks and GOOD LUCK!!!

Porsche to replace chassis components in 918 Spyders

Tue, Dec 23 2014

The entire production run of the Porsche 918 Spyder is completely sold out, but 205 of them need to make a trip to the dealer for a repair estimated to take about two days. According to Porsche, it found quality problems with unspecified "chassis components" on the hybrid supercar and has instituted a plan to fix them as a precautionary measure. There were no reported breakages of these parts or complaints from customers. The German automaker already contacted all of the affected owners directly to have the 918s repaired in 2015. When reached for comment, Porsche Director of Corporate Communications Achim Schneider told Autoblog via email that "due to the supplier relationship we did not announce further details regarding the components so far." He also said that 43 vehicles are affected in North America, which includes the US and Canada. The 918 Spyder was affected by a small recall in the US earlier this year when Porsche found that the rear-axle control arms could potentially break. The campaign covered only five cars, though. Porsche replaces chassis components in 205 vehicles worldwide Atlanta. As a precautionary measure, Porsche will replace chassis components in 205 vehicles of the 918 Spyder model worldwide. The reason for this is that for vehicles that were manufactured in a certain time period defective parts were used from a delivery batch, whose functionality cannot be permanently guaranteed. No complaints have been made known (such as a break of a component) from customers up till now. The problem was identified during in-house quality inspections and remedied immediately. The owners of the vehicles, which could be exactly traced, were contacted directly by their competent Porsche representatives. The workshop visit, which will take place by appointment at the onset of 2015, takes about two days to complete at no charge. Porsche celebrates 50 years of 911 with some excellent pics

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

The Porsche 911 is one of the most iconic sports cars of all time, and to celebrate the car's first 50 years, Porsche has released a stunning set of photos showing how far the 911 has come from the original back in 1963 to its current 991 generation. Unlike the recent 60-year photo spread that Chevrolet put together for the Corvette, though, Porsche's gallery only shows the original 911 and the current car.
Each time the 911 is redesigned, the car's front fenders, roofline and the shape of the side windows are key focal points. Even some of the interior cues have remained the same over the years, including the positioning of the ignition key on the left of the steering column and the five-gauge instrument cluster layout.
Scroll down for Porsche's press release breaking down the seven generations of the 911, and be sure to check out our gallery with plenty of high-res pics for you to download as a desktop wallpaper. In fact, we're providing these at 1920-pixels-wide instead of our usual 1280 wide. Enjoy!

Driving the Panamera and Mike's Rant | Autoblog Podcast #487

Thu, Sep 8 2016

This week we cover some recent news like the upcoming Land Rover Discovery, updates to FCA's large car platform (including the Challenger), and talk about water injection. Then we go into what we've been driving - David just finished his time in the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Mike tried the GMC Acadia. And then Mike (who is still uncomfortable writing in the third person) goes on a rant about why automakers shouldn't specify which cars are aimed at women. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want questionable buying advice, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com.
