2005 Pontiac Sunfire Base Coupe 2-door 2.2l on 2040-cars
Cary, North Carolina, United States
The passenger side fender was replaced because of dent, 2 of the tires have been changed recently, has 115,000 miles on it (8 years old), on the passenger seat two tiny stains, the cd player is broken, the radio works but he color is fading on some of the buttons. mp3 player, ac and heater works perfectly. There are two outlets. The first one by the radio doesn't work but the second one is at the bottom towards the passenger side in the front and that works great for chargers, etc. have had several inspections over the years and most recent in november 2013 and all the paperworks are in the glove compartment. The bumper was broken but replaced it with a used one and it has a slit. The exterior is in pretty good condition. As the pictures will show there a few very very tiny( pea size) spots at the back bumper where the paint worn off. On the passenger side door there are few white scratches (notice in the picture listed) . four cup holders. just had fuel valve replaced. I have the paperwork -fixed at the dealership of GM. Sunroof works perfect. The dashboard broke in 2008- it was a defect in the 2005 models, so had it replaced with a different year model and it works perfect-includes detailed paperwork , the only problem with it is the miles shows is very light so hard to read but can be read. Also when replaced with new model, the miles changed slightly and i have the paperwork for the difference in miles from the old dashboard to the new dashboard. It has current insurance on it by progressive. Trunk has extra tire. trunk opens out into the back seat .
selling price is listed as 4,790 by Wake County Revenue Department. I am willing to bargain on price. The vehicle is in Raleigh, NC. Depending on the buyer , shipping cost will vary. Buy will need to arrange the pick up. No shipping cost if buyer choses to pick up in Raleigh,NC. I own the car and have had it for 8 years. No bad sounds come from the engine. brakes are good. Payments are accepted via cashier's check. thanks |

This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod
Fri, 21 Feb 2014There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.
Junkyard Gem: 1991 Pontiac 6000 LE
Sat, Dec 2 2017Sibling to the Chevrolet Celebrity and Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, the Pontiac 6000 sold pretty well during the early-to-middle 1980s, but had been relegated to the dealership bargain bin and fleet-car cul-de-sac by the time of Operation Desert Shield. Here's a final-year-of-manufacture 6000 LE that I photographed in an Arizona self-service wrecking yard. This car was sold new in Arizona, and it will be crushed in the same state, 26 years later. The LE was the cheapest trim level for the 6000 in 1991, but the original purchaser of this car sprang for a few options. For example, instead of the utterly miserable 2.5-liter Iron Duke four-cylinder, this car packs the 3.1-liter V6. That meant 140 horsepower instead of 110, plus an engine note more like a vacuum cleaner sucking up a spaghetti spill than an ailing blender chewing on walnuts. AM, FM, and cassette. Not only that, but the auto-reverse feature meant that your mixtape cassette wouldn't stop right in the middle of your favorite Roxette tune. This content is hosted by a third party. Even the wretched Daewoo-built Pontiac LeMans gets more screen time than the forgotten 6000 in this 1991 TV ad featuring the voice of Captain Picard. Another Burt Reynolds Trans Am is up for auction
Wed, Jan 18 2017Fans of Smokey and the Bandit, your car has arrived. This Saturday, January 21, Barrett-Jackson will auction a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am clone that, while not originally in the movie, was owned and signed by the Bandit himself, Burt Reynolds. Not only that, but it packs many modifications that should make this Pontiac drive the way we all imagined it did. This is a Trans Am clone, not an original. The car was built by Nebraska company Restore A Muscle Car, and started life as a lowly Firebird Formula. However, the company brought it up to Trans Am grade and beyond. Under the hood is a fuel-injected 8.2-liter V8 from Butler Performance that Restore A Muscle Car says produces 600 horsepower. Coupled to the big V8 is a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. There's even Hurst line-lock on-board, so this Trans Am should be perfect for on-demand burnouts. The car also comes with QA1 coil-over suspension, so it should corner better than the original, too. The outside looks roughly like a stock Trans Am, but it now has 18-inch wheels styled after those from the movie car, and the shaker scoop says "8.2" on each side. View 5 Photos In 2014, a 1977 Trans Am owned by Reynolds sold for a whopping $450,000. That car wasn't an actual movie car either, and lacked the modifications of this one. However, it was used as a promotional car and was given to Reynolds, so it did have some history with the film. This upgraded car is listed in the Barrett-Jackson catalog as "no reserve," so it's going home with a new owner on Saturday, regardless of price. Related Video:
