1969 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Convertible Clone!
This Trans Am was restored a little over 15 years ago, driven 4,396 miles, then parked in a storage container until now. This driver quality vehicle is a very solid car that shows signs of being a 15 year old restoration, as the paint is bubbling in some areas. When the car was restored no expense was spared. A fiberglass Ram Air hood, side louvers, spoiler, factory gauge package, dash, and steering wheel were installed to complete the transformation from a Firebird convertible to as close as an authentic Trans Am convertible as possible. The engine is a non matching numbers 1969 400 YD code with 290 horsepower. It has an automatic transmission and a 10 bolt rear end. The car rides and drives great and everything functions as it should. The convertible top is in good condition with no major tears or rips. Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
