Hello all,  Here is a great example of a super rare Pontiac. This Star Chief coupe is a great driver and is ready for a new owner to enjoy now. She is matching numbers and mostly all original with just maintenance and upkeep being preformed as needed through out her life. A vast stack of records and receipts are included chronicling her 57 year existence. On to the car!   The 347 engine and auto tranny preform amazing and really move this car down the road. BOTH have been rebuilt with RECEIPTS to verify the work preformed. She idles nicely and the exhaust puts out a great sound when you put your foot into it, not too loud, but not to quiet either. She runs down the highway great with plenty of power. No smoke or strange noises from the engine or tranny with both performing as they should. She does like to warm up for a couple of minutes before setting out. The original carb is included and has been rebuilt, has a edelbrock on her now that works great. New original fuel pump is also included, running an electric pump. These basic upgrades really help to make the car preform more reliably, but can be switched back if need be.   The body and undercarriage on this car is as rust free as one could hope for, even with factory markings on the frame. The previous owner stated that this is an original brown car, and a quite unusual color combo with the blue on white interior, but it works and is super 50's. The car was repainted some time ago and is showing rock chips,scratches etc, but still looks good from a couple feet. This was the one thing that was planed to do, was a repaint, just to take the car to the next level. Paint is ok for a driver though. The biggest thing i can stress is how rust free this car appears to be with no previous rust repair being done that i have found. There is a couple minor dings etc, but nothing major.Stainless is mostly in great shape, chrome is all original and some is showing minor wear etc from being almost 60 years old.   The interior shows very nice and is very functional just the way it is. Seats are in great shape, headliner is beautiful, most of the chrome and stainless on the inside is in great shape. Dash is uncut, factory radio hole is just covered up is all, but factory radio is included and was rebuilt. Newer cd player is in glovebox. The fuel gauge is intermittent and will need attention. Everything else works! even the lights come on when you open the doors.   All in all, This is a great example of a rare pontiac in driver form with nothing being needed to take her out on a cruise. The new owner can preform various restoration or beautifying procedures as they see fit. This is not a restored show car or trailer queen, but a great driver quality car that hasn't been affected like so many by rust issues. I am helping a buddy sell the car who sadly cannot afford to keep it after recently purchasing her. Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC

We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.

There's a 'Knight Rider' movie in development

James Wan, who has directed films from the first "Saw" to "Aquaman," with "Furious 7" in between, and produced even more projects, is producing a new Knight Rider movie according to a report in Deadline. Just in case there's a reader who doesn't know, Knight Rider was one of the seminal trio of iconic-car shows from the 1980s, along with "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Miami Vice." The series lasted 90 episodes that ran from 1982 to 1986, following the crime-fighting exploits of Michael Knight, a man who crusaded for justice after being shot in the face. Billionaire Walton Knight hired Michael to work with the Knight Foundation, where Michael helps develop the Knight Industries Two Thousand, a Pontiac Trans-Am with AI that can talk, drive more than 200 miles per hour, and could teach MI6's Q Branch about gadgetry. Collider described David Hasselhof's Michael Knight as "crimefighter by trade and wearing-a-leather-jacket-with-no-shirt-underneath innovator by hobby." The show made such an impression that there was a series spinoff called "Code of Justice," two TV movies in 1991 and 1994, a convention called KnightCon, and a series reboot on NBC that lasted for one season from 2008 to 2009, as well as stores full of action figures and models and literature, YouTube fan-made trailers and movies, and this wacky German-dubbed short "Knight Rider" film starring Hasselhoff. We don't know anything about the new movie's plot yet, other than that it's set in the present. T.J. Fixman, better known for now as a video game writer who worked on franchises like "Ratchet and Clank" and "Resistance: Fall of Man," has been attached to write, with a mandate to keep "the anti-establishment tone of the original." With matters still early in development there's no telling when the movie will hit theaters, and Wan's probably got his hands busy with the new MacGuyver reboot for CBS, anyway. Now that there's already been a Knight Industries 2000 and 3000, that gives us plenty of time to imagine — in a world where 200-mph hypercars powered by everything sprout like weeds and even Cannonballers are using military-like equipment — what would a Knight Industries Four Thousand possess? Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative

How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
