Up for sale is a 1972 LeMans convertible which was created into a 1972 GTO. The vehicle has gone through an extensive three-year frame-on restoration and no expense was spared on the car. It has a rebuilt 1972 Pontiac 455 H/O motor in it, YB Code with 7F6 455 H/O heads with date code 1241 with functioning RAM AIR. The carb is an Edelbrock 4-BBL (original carb I still have and comes with the car). Car has power steering, power brakes, NOS air conditioning, a rebuilt Turbo 350 transmission, 3:55 posi rear gears installed, stainless dual exhaust with NOS side-exiting splitters, new suspension parts throughout, reupholstered front and rear seats, new convertible top (trim code 272), carpet. Car has new dashboard, PMD formula steering wheel, floor shift with console, original Pontiac dash radio plus glove box CD player. Car has a brand new interior, new convertible top, new paint, new chrome, restored Rallye II wheels, new or NOS innumerable parts and pieces. The paint color is called Lucerne Blue (original 1972 Pontiac color).  Car has a 1971 rear deck spoiler, front spoiler, NOS lights, exhaust splitters, re-chromed rear bumper, NOS door handles, restored and NOS stainless pieces, factory hood tachometer, (also dash tach) all new or NOS glass except for the rear quarter glass panels.

This car was given the restoration it deserved. It was originally a Florida car Red/White with a 400 motor. I don't have the original motor or the PHS paperwork. Car was recently serviced, is gorgeous and runs strong. NO REASONABLE OFFER REFUSED, but please be serious and don't waste anyone's time if this isn't the car you want.

GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.

Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.
