For sale is my 40th anniversary 2004 Pontiac GTO with just 39,8xx miles. It is in excellent condition.
Paint: This car is the limited edition, W40 package, (an unofficial 40th anniversary) Pulse Red Paint. This paint was only available to the final 800 GTOs in 2004, and only about 500 of those had the more desirable 6 speed manual. It is in great shape, and is very clean. The color is just a little darker than the more common Torrid Red - it looks a lot darker on cloudy days as you can see in the pictures. The other primary difference in the Pulse Red cars, is the silver gauges, and red stitching. This helps explain the W40 40th Anniversary - http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15206
Interior: The interior is stock, and is really well equipped. The 6 disc Blaupunkt stereo system is great, and the seats are the most comfortable seats car seats I have ever sat in. They look great with red GTO emblems stitched in the seats. They hug the driver really well, and are great for long trips. GTOs have one of the best trimmed GM interiors out there. There were a couple seams coming apart on the back seats when I got the car, due to it sitting in the sun. This is a common issue for GTOs. They do not affect functionality whatsoever, and could easily be replaced. I tried my best to show it in the pictures.
Exterior: The exterior is in very good condition. If the car was not the limited edition color, there were several upgrades I planned, but I decided to keep it stock and clean instead. The wheels had some curb rash when I bought them, but I had the wheels professionally refurbished and repainted -- they now look brand new. It also had a couple tiny chips on the door handles, but were professionally repainted as well. I have receipts for these repairs as well as maintenance from my time of ownership and some prior to that.
Engine: The 5.7L LS1 V8 is bone stock and is an absolute blast to drive. This car has the desirable 6-speed manual transmission (Tremec-56) (the auto is only a 4 speed and it is rated at just 16/21 mpg). It has tons of torque low down, and obviously plenty of power on the top end (350hp at 5200 and 365ft/lb at 4000). 0-60 is in the mid 5s, and the quarter is in the mid-high 13s. The low end torque makes this thing a blast to daily drive, and it still gets pretty good mpg. I usually get about 21-23 mpg in mixed driving, but manual GTOs are rated at 29 mpg highway! I always put premium gas in as well - most of the time 93.
I do have maintenance records from my time of ownership, and you can see it is in fantastic condition. These will come with the car. I always put in Mobil One full synthetic oil. In the 10k miles I have driven the car, the only maintenance I have done is put back brakes on (at about 31k miles), oil changes, and tire rotations. Through 10k miles, it has never let me down once and was more reliable than the first 10k miles of my '06 Toyota. The tires were just put on the car by the previous owner, so they have around 11k miles on them with plenty of tread remaining. I do also have a full size spare with a descent tire on it. (I also have the regular spare)
The car gets complements frequently, and it sounds great. It would also make a great second or third car, or weekend car. I daily drove the car for about 3 months in fall of '11, and then was able to buy another car for the winter, and to take over the daily driving duties. Since August of '12, I have been daily driving her 8 miles a day round trip, and I'm up to 39.8k miles (the picture with the mileage of 38k was from this summer) Sad to see her go, but my wife and I have decided to buy a house and we need the cash.
All of this considered, I am asking $15,500 or best offer for a potential future collector's car. Factoring in that there are probably only a few in this limited edition color, that are stock and in good condition with low miles, it will hold it's value well. If you are looking for a new body style collector GTO, this is going to be one of the best out there. Again, what makes it so rare and valuable is the limited edition color/anniversary edition with the preferred transmission, excellent condition, and low miles. You may be able to get an 05 or 06 for this price, but probably not with under 40k miles and clean and unabused. The LS1 also puts down good power, but if you worried about less power than the LS2, its only cams and exhaust away from 400hp. Will also consider trades of equivalent value with awd and a manual transmission, or vehicles worth less plus cash.
If you have any questions feel free to call or text me at 618 -- nine two zero -- 1924. You may also use message through ebay. Thanks for looking, John

2020 Porsche 911 Speedster spied with an angry driver
Wed, Feb 13 2019Porsche gave us details and showed us a concept of the 911 Speedster at the Paris Motor Show. Today, we bring you spy shots of what appears to be the production version of that concept with a few changes on board. They're rather minimal modifications, but the Speedster's driver appears especially angry with our spy photographer as he extends his middle finger directly toward the camera. Sorry, not sorry, Mr. Test Driver. Public testing of pre-production cars always comes with photo risks, and Porsches tend to attract more attention than others. You'll notice what appears to be a Cayenne Coupe prototype we've previously spotted running around with the 911. The Speedster Concept we saw in Paris had epic retro mirrors and fuel cap on the front hood, but both those design touches are absent from this pre-production car. It's tougher to see, but we lost the vents in between the two humps, as well. Everything else appears to have made it to production-spec. We can't say we're surprised these concept car features probably won't show up on the production car, but it is a tad deflating. You'll notice the Speedster is based-off the 991.2 generation of 911 and not the new 992. Porsche did a similar thing when the 997 generation was coming to an end with a Speedster model paying tribute to that car's life. The chassis is said to utilize parts from the 911 GT3, and the wonderful naturally aspirated flat-six engine gets carried over from that car, too. Porsche didn't specify if power will be exactly the same as the GT3, but we'll be expecting about 500 horsepower and a 9,000 rpm redline. We were told the six-speed manual would be offered on the Speedster in Paris, too. Let's just say that we strongly approve of that combination. Production will be limited to only 1,948 cars and begin in the first half of this year. We'll expect a reveal with a full spec breakdown soon, possibly for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS
Thu, Jan 29 2015Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect.
