After all this the car was sold on Ebay to a gentleman in Puerto Rico and was imported to the island on 2008.
The gentleman a retired business man only used the car for sunday drives and was stored on his garage.

One day I was washing my car on a local Car Wash and this powerful sounding sleeper GTO caught my eye, I walked to the guy
and started talking to him about the car, one thing led to another and I ended up buying the car form him.

After I purchased I have done just basic maintenance and some upgrades such as:

----- Backup sensors ----------

----- New window switch --------

----- Power Lock retrofit kit from a Holden (no power lock on 2004) ----

----- Installed a 3-12volt power supply under the radio ------

----- Installed an AC cabin filter (no cabin filter on the GTO, just an air inlet) -------

----- New rear cross drilled rotors and pads (painted calliper red to match the Baer 14" fronts) -----

---- 4 brand new VMR 19" Wheels custom powder coated -------

---- New 245/40-19 Nitto INVO front tires ------

---- New 285/30-19 Nitto INVO rear tires ------

---- Gorila security lugnuts -----------

---- Swaped the Peddler front coils to a set 1/2" taller -------

---- Installed new front strunt mounts -------

Now how it drives? Having owned my share of performance and modified cars, this GTO is a GT on steroids.
The hydraulic clutch is not stiff like mustangs or pre 2005 Carreras. But is not as soft as a 2005+ Carrera. After
owning this GTO I will install a hydraulic clutch to my 93 cobra. The seats are very very comfortable and the rear
seats are the real surprise, they are as comfortable as the front and they accommodate a full size adult with no problem.

The car will spin the tires and smoke them out if you turn off the traction control, with the traction control on the computer
will keep it in control. If you punch the gas, the power is insane.

As modified as the car is the reason I ended up buying it is that under normal driving it is no different than driving any other
non modified car, and is the most comfortable modified car I have ever owned (Mustangs, Porsches, Evo, STI, Miata and Corvette).

The stereo has automatic volume level adjustment and sounds really good (for a 44 year old guy) also under acceleration the car is
really loud and powerful, but once you reach cruising speed there is no drone and the cabin is as quiet at stock.

It is really a unique and very well built car, the interior finish is only comparable to current US automaker offerings. Superb materials for the time
and even today.

So why sell it? No reason, Time for something new (I only have space for 3 toys) and this one has all modifications done and I need
my to do list of projects.

Feel free to email me with any questions and more specific pics.  Is priced to sell. A deposit of $500.00 is required 24 hours after the final

entering the car to the US. All cars in PR come form the US. The GTO was imported form the mainland on 2008 and is a US car. There are cargo ships moving

Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.

Vitruvian Energy crowdfunding to make EEB, a trashy biofuel

Sat, Nov 22 2014

When sewage is treated at a wastewater treatment facility, biosolids are the byproduct. After being separated from the water, biosolids are usually sent to a landfill or incinerated. That doesn't mean that they're without value, however. Vitruvian Energy has created a process to make a usable fuel out of this human waste product, and while the source is pretty gross, it is undeniably abundant, and the results are much cleaner. EEB can be made for less than $4 a gallon. In a process that Vitruvian Energy claims is energy efficient, biosolids are femented and introduced to a type of bacteria to create PHA plastic. Reacting the PHA with ethanol creates the ethyl-3-ethoxybutyrate (EEB) biofuel. Vitruvian says EEB can be blended up to 20 percent with gasoline or diesel without any engine modifications. This lowers the carbon footprint of the fuel it's blended into, and serves to oxygenate diesel, leading to fewer harmful emissions. EEB can also be made using other organic waste products, such as corn stover, rice straw and distillers grains. EEB can be made for less than $4 a gallon and isn't subject to the maddening market fluctuations and international politics of fossil fuels. Furthermore, EEB's carbon footprint is 70 percent less than that of fossil fuels. Vitruvian also sees potential for EEB to be used on its own to power vehicles or burned to produce electricity for the grid. So far, Vitruvian Energy has used grants from the California Energy Commission and National Science Foundation to develop EEB, and has tested the fuel in a Pontiac Solstice at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Now, Vitruvian is wants to test EEB on a larger scale in the real world in order to prove EEB's viability to interested parties in the wastewater treatment industry. In an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, Vitruvian Energy hopes to raise $200,000 to build a prototype EEB production line and to run a test vehicle for a year on an EEB-diesel blend on the streets of Seattle. Donors can score some interesting perks such as shirts and bumper stickers that say "Get Clean with Poopaline." Learn more about EEB in the video and press release below. GM expands headlight recall to 180k Buicks and Pontiacs

Thu, Aug 20 2015

General Motors is issuing an expanded headlight module recall to include 180,504 examples in North America of the 2005 Buick LaCrosse (2008 model year pictured above) and 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. Specifically, the campaign affects 159,584 of them in the US and 20,920 in Canada. When the part fails, the vehicles' low beams can stop working either intermittently or permanently. "GM is unable to confirm any crashes, injuries or fatalities related to this condition," the company said in a statement, and there's currently no permanent repair for the problem. For now, dealers will replace the headlamp module with a new example of the same part. The automaker first announced this campaign in November 2014 when it affected 316,357 examples globally of the 2006-09 Buick LaCrosse; 2006-2007 Chevy TrailBlazer and TrailBlazer EXT; 2006-2007 GMC Envoy and 2006 GMC Envoy XL; 2006-2007 Buick Rainier; 2006-2008 Saab 9-7X; and 2006-08 Isuzu Ascender.
