Vehicle Description
NEW LISTING!!! INCREDIBLE 1969 PRO-TOUR GTO CONVERTIBLE. THIS IS A SHOW CAR. IMPECCABLE TWO TONE SHOW QUALITY PAINT WITH SUPERB FIT AND FINISH. LESS THAN A 100 MILES SINCE COMPLETION. BUILT 428CI ENGINE, RAM AIR III HEADS PUSHING CLOSE TO 500HP LAUNCHED BY A 4-SPEED AND BACKED BY A 3.55 POSI.
This beautiful car was built to be a show stopper. The previous owner performed an extensive restoration but also wanted the power to back it up. According to the builder the 428 engine was built professionally to put out close to 500hp with #48 Ram Air III heads. The Headers, x-pipes, Flowmaster 2.5" exhaust sound awesome. The power is controlled by a Muncie 4-speed and held to the road by a 3.55 Posi-traction rear end. The car stops on a dime with new power disc brakes, power steering, and freshly rebuilt suspension which makes the car a pleasure to drive. Most of the interior is new or in like new condition. Top it off with a new black power top with glass back window. The car has amazing curb appeal with Boss 18" and 20" wheels. THIS IS AN AWESOME CAR!!!!!

For General Motors, the W platform just kept giving and giving and giving for decade after decade, serving as the basis of Buick Regals, Oldsmobile Intrigues, Chevrolet Monte Carlos, and many, many more models. The final and most powerful Pontiac W-Body, the sixth-generation Grand Prix GTP, rolled off assembly lines for the 1997 through 2003 model years. Here's one in a Northern California self-service wrecking yard. GM bolted the supercharged 3800 V6 into vast numbers of cars during this era, providing a deep reservoir of cheap blowers for unwise high-boost projects. 240 front-tire-charring horses, complete with a Roots-type blower scream from the Eaton supercharger under the hood. I see plenty of blown 3800s during my junkyard travels, from the Bonneville SSEi to the Oldsmobile LSS. Depressingly, GM stopped putting manual transmissions in the Grand Prix during the 1993 model year, so '01 GTP owners had to take the four-speed slushbox. This one came close to the magic 200,000-mile mark, but fell 25,000 short. The interior took a beating during its life, ending its time on the road with shredded upholstery and dirty panels. Seven-band graphic equalizers were all the rage during the 1980s, but GM kept the tradition alive into our current century. This content is hosted by a third party. This week's Autoblog Podcast features Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore and Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski as they debate the merits of the redesigned Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 coupes and whether or not they are distinctive and powerful enough to attract buyers. The duo spends some time discussing ongoing EV and infrastructure legislation before turning their attention to a trio of crossovers. Greg muses about the 2021 Mazda CX-30 before Jeremy talks about the refreshed 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and completely redesigned Outlander. We get nostalgic as we remember the dearly departed Pontiac GTO before wrapping the podcast up by making one more suggestion to a longtime listener who is shopping for a vehicle to replace her aging Honda Pilot. Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect.
