I am selling my 1968 GTO Ram Air I. It is a very unique vehicle. My father was a Pontiac dealer. He sold this vehicle new. It has been a local car since delivered new. I bought it from the second owner in 1989. The car is unmodified and not altered in any way. It has never been raced and has been inside most of its life. It has 56k original miles, original Ram Air I engine (XP code), factory ram air pan with the ORIGINAL foam seal still on it. original automatic transmission (PQ code), original 4:33 rear end, mostly original black paint, and original blue interior. Options are: ram air I engine, auto trans, console, hideaway headlamps, tinted glass, power windows, power steering, power disc brakes, am radio. I have a lot of documentation. I have the protect-o plate and the envelope it was mailed to the original owner in. I have many receipts from my fathers dealership for service. I even have the invoice where the car received its new vehicle inspection. The car is in very good condition but it is an original not a restored vehicle and is NOT perfect. The paint looks good but it is mostly original and worn. It has scratches and some cracks especially on the bumper. It would be classified as a survivor. Please dont ask the reserve as I may lower it if bids get close. I do not have a buy it now price at this time. Call me we can talk. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

Fri, May 27 2016When Ford came up with a not-so-sporty version of the Pinto and slapped Mustang badges on it in 1974, that was a low point for the Mustang name. When Chrysler applied the venerable Town & Country name on perfectly functional but unglamorous minivans, it saddened many of us. But perhaps the biggest demotion for a once-proud model came when, in 1988, General Motors imported a misery-enhancing Daewoo from Korea and called it the Pontiac LeMans. The original Pontiac LeMans was a great-looking midsize car with fairly advanced (for the time) suspension design and engine options including potent V8s and a screaming overhead-cam straight-six. The Daewoo-based Pontiac LeMans was a cramped, shoddy hooptie that served only to ruin the LeMans name forever, while stealing sales from the Suzuki-based Chevrolet Sprint. Sure, using the once-respected Monterey name on the Mercurized Ford Freestar was bad, but Mercury didn't have long to live at that point.
