Here is a 67 GTO, built in Kansas City 11-18-66, all original AC 4 speed car, and is being sold as is, a project, no warranty implied at all. Exterior color is Mariner Turquoise, interior is Turquoise. I have the PHS paper work on it and the Title for it. Besides the AC, 4 speed, it came with a pushbutton radio, manual antenna, visor vanity mirror, custom seat belts, deluxe wheel discs, console, and power steering. WT code Engine is date matching, 30 over with no lip on top of the cylinders, needs rebuilt, comes with a 67 GTO quadrajet 4 speed SR carb. Oil pan, intake manifold, timing cover, all the pulleys, and the heads were all glass bead blasted and painted the correct Pontiac Metallic Blue. All the glass is soft ray and in pretty good condition, including the rear, does not come with a windshield as those are usually replaced with new. Has some of the trim and parts, pretty much what you see in the pictures, comes with only 1 bucket seat, original AC fan blade, passenger side, no transmission, has the cross member, looks like the original rear end, 3.23 WF, on the PHS. Has the usual rust and maybe a bit more, the trunk floor, looks like the lower quarters, behind the rear window, both ends of the lower windshield, and a little in the front and rear floors, little more in the rear. Both fenders and both doors look in nice condition with no rust or dings, same for the trunk lid, upper quarters look straight also. The shifter hole cover is there, pedals, console there but is so so, needs work, package tray support, rear seat back frame needs spot welded back into place for some reason. Has the taillight harness and headlight harness, they are so so, no dash or engine harnesses. I have no idea, not familiar at all with with shipping or transportation, leaving that up to the buyer, shipping fees are the buyers responsibility, but will do what I can on my end to get it loaded. I think that's about it, ask if you have any questions. Thanks.

In substitute of my addition for the block date, K 21 6 is October 21 1966, not November 66. Thanks.

The U-2 spy plane needs high-performance cars to help land
Thu, Oct 15 2015Typically, aircraft deploy their landing gear from three main points. Most military aircraft, for example, deploy two gears at the back and one forward, like a tricycle. Some civilian aircraft flip the layout, with two in front and one in back - tail-draggers. The U-2 Dragon Lady is wildly different than any of these. With a 103-foot wingspan but a body that's just 63-feet long, the layout of the U-2 makes a traditional landing setup infeasible. Instead, the U-2 utilizes a pair of wheels, one up front and one in back. With such a bizarre layout, landings are so tough that since the U-2's earliest flights at Area 51, the US Air Force has used high-performance chase cars to guide the pilot down safely. The landing process isn't over there, though. As this video from Sploid shows, balancing out the aircraft to fit the detachable "pogos" – think training wheels for spy planes – is a comical procedure requiring a number of airman using their full body weight to even out the U-2. This video also recaps some of the great vehicles that have served as chase vehicles for this legendary spy plane. They include Chevrolet El Caminos, and the Fox-body Ford Mustangs so favored by the California Highway Patrol. For the last several years, the USAF has utilized products from General Motors, using fourth-generation Chevy Camaros, before switching over to the Pontiac GTO and most recently, the awesome Pontiac G8. It's fair to say that if you're a gearhead in the Air Force, this is the job you want. Check out the video, embedded up top. GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes
Thu, 10 May 2012When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
