1967 Pontiac GTO. This GTO is PHS documented and is equipped with its original WT code 400 ci engine(engine number matches PHS engine unit number) its W code, wide ratio 4-speed transmission and a Quadrajet 4 barrel carb.. The engine was rebuilt in 2003 by a previous owner, I have the paper work. The body is very straight and has all its original sheet metal, including the floors and trunk. There is no evidence of any patch panels in the body, floors or trunk.The paint was done a number of years ago, I would assume in 2003, when the motor and interior was done. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10, there are a few blemishes in the paint that aren't noticeable from a few feet away. There is a small spot starting to bubble under the passanger side of the windshield, see picture. All the chrome and stainless is bright and shiney.The interior is in very good shape and mostly original, except for a new headliner and recovered front bucket seats, also done in 2003. The dash and console are also in great shape and it still has the AM radio and original seatbelts. The car is very tight, no rattles or squeaks and has a nice rumble, with Flowmaster mufflers, not too loud. Its a pleasure to drive, plenty of power and shifts smoothly. BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium

Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. 1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction
Mon, 01 Aug 2011For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. This GTO-El Camino mashup is the muscle truck of our dreams
Fri, Aug 31 2018There were a hell of a lot of great muscle cars in the mid-1960s, from the baroque Dodges and Plymouths of the earlier part of the decade to the wild big boys like the Boss 429 and Olds 442 W30. Right in the middle of the decade, two of the most iconic of the bunch emerged — the Pontiac GTO and second-generation Chevy El Camino. And this one is a 1964 Chevy El Camino with the heart and face of its GTO cousin, and dubbed the El Chieftain GTO. It's currently for sale at RM Sotheby's Auburn auction, with no reserve status or estimate listed. This looks like a product that Pontiac could have sold at the time — its builder, Ron Lindeman, did an excellent job making it look like a factory product, right down to the taillight strakes inspired by the GTO. It's powered by a 389 — a Pontiac motor that was actually found in period GTOs, but sporting a single four-barrel instead of the sexy Tri-Power setup. It is, however, equipped with a Hurst four-speed manual and the grille badge to prove it to bystanders. Even the interior is made up to look like a GTO. We wish there was more of a description of the build in the listing, but if you love it, do us one better and buy the thing and invite us to poke around it.
