1966 Pontiac Real Gto 4 Speed Hardtop .

I Have not done PHs since it has NOM 428 Engine.
This motor has under 200 miles since rebuild and is very potent. It now has an excellent rock crusher 4 Speed Muncie M22 .12 Bolt rebuilt Posi. out of a 66 Chevelle. 3.90 Rear Gear. The power train is fine and could be cleaned up.I Put a battery and gas to it after a long storage since 1990 and the car still Runs and Drives strong.Glass is all good.Yet all bushings, rubber, interior and soft trim is ready for resto. The Body will need attention. I can restore it for you. It is what we do at FLorida Classic Automotive. See our website Floridaclassicauto.com or facebook. Since I have to complete many customer projects and have already accumulated enough cars for myself ,I feel It is better to pass it along to someone trying to find an excellent core to start with than to keep it.Since the vehicle has been stored since 1990 it will need Restoration but is a complete car with spare parts. There is rust in the tail panel and trunk floor and along both sides of roof along drip molding that is very common .Chevlle roof panels fit.The doors are good and so are the fenders, cowl and floors. It sat in a car barn under a cover since 1990 hence the rust along both sides of roof and tail panel that was exposed to moisture. I specialize in metal replacement and would do this car myself but already have three now. This as a very good core as it runs with a battery with clean fuel out of a can. These real 242 Gto complete project cars are doing 10k consistently now as they are gettting harder to find. Build it as you wish any way you like.It was a Burgundy color code "n".The only way to find out if it was a tri-power is to run PHS.The trim tag shows it was a stick with console and buckets. The reserve price is reasonable and I will give you everything thnat goes to the car. Please don`t waste my time unless you are a serious Pontiac Gto person. No trades. Must inpect prior to auction close. It is as-is and requires body work.Buyer responsible for transport. Vehicle back in storage unit.Scott 772.215three512

What's driving the spike in air-cooled Porsche 911 prices

Thu, Mar 26 2015

Classic car prices have been racing skyward in general, but prices for air-cooled (pre-1999) Porsche 911s are ascending like they're strapped to rocket boosters. It's been going on for years, and every year people are surprised by how outrageous it's getting: Classic Driver covered it this month, as did The Truth About Cars who included this example of a "scruffy" 1993 RS America with 215,000 miles asking $80K; Mike Spinelli at Drive riffed on it at length last year along with a host of classic-car-market observers; Porsche forums were at it two years ago; and let's not even get into the 993 Turbo, going for prices so high you have to lie down to look at them. Speed Academy has run a piece looking at why it's happening, one theory being that regular-guy owners are hopping on the runaway-price wagon without any good reason. As in the example of that high-mileage, scruffy 911 RS America at Bring a Trailer, the owner sees pristine examples valued by Hagerty at $170,000, and even though the average value is $93,238 he thinks something like, "Mine's got to be worth half of top dollar ..." The tide - even one rising on air - makes it hard to find decent prices. Then there is the flood of money into the market. In spite of articles that try to temper investors' outlooks on collectible cars, other articles in places like the Financial Times and the Guardian promote vintage metal as a safe place to put money and reap astonishing returns. Speed Academy thinks one side effect of high 911 prices is that responsible enthusiasts are turning their attention to cars like the BMW 2002, E30 M3, and E9 3.0CS, saying their prices are "sharply on the rise." The entire article is worth a read since it goes into markets far afield from pricey German steel, but incredibly, the entire piece was actually inspired by a 1997 Acura Integra R that sold for $43,000 on eBay. So while this could be the best time to get into the classic car market if you know what you're doing, it is certainly the best time to do your homework. Related Video:

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
