1964 Gto convertible tri power

I bought this car a year ago for my wife and I spent a ton of money on it to make it a reliable safe driver for her on sunny days, two things came from this she no longer says she wants an old car and second my daughter was proposed to and now is getting Married in June so I'm selling one of my three cars, my loss is your luck because I would never sell any of these cars normally. I have for sale Nancy's 64 Gto, my 69 Gto judge and my 72 gmc sprint pro street.

Ok here are the details on Nancy's car, these items have about 500 miles of use, four wheel disc brakes, eibach springs, hotchkis rear sway bar, KGB shocks, custom bent to factory specs 2.5 inch dual exhaust, 2.5 inch rear splitters, rechrome front and rear bumpers, vintage radio with USB and hidden speakers under the seats, 17 inch wheels and tires tallest and widest possible, tri power that was fully restored to factory specs power steering pump, battery, starter, front end rebuilt and poly bushings were installed, plus a lot more I can't remember money was not of concern reliability and safety for my wife came first.

Paint is really nice clean and free of dents and scratches might have a nick or two the car is driven not trailered. Interior looks like new but is the original so not trailer queen material. The top is super nice and the rear window is clear but again I believe it's the original top.

I was told when I bought the car it's numbers matching but have not verified, a new motor is done and will be installed by the time the car is picked up and the original running fine with a little blow by will go with the car.

Quarter panels have been replaced before I bought the car but a good job was done. The power top works going down but needs a little help going up I just have not had the time to deal with it.

This is not a $80,000 car but a very nice driver that shows very well and draws tons of complements at every show its been at!

We both love this car and will miss it but you all know our kids come first.

Best and Worst GM Cars

Thu, Apr 7 2022

Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded.  While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.

Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
