2000 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 door GT. V6 3.8 liter - 3800. Automatic. Maroon with dark gray leather interior. 224,551 miles currently on actual car, but the MOTOR IS NEW. The NEW MOTOR only has about 350 miles on it. As it's my daily driver, both of these numbers will increase slightly each day. It has TONS of new parts to go with the NEW MOTOR. Power windows, power door locks, dual power seats, sunroof, trunk scoop, ABS, traction control system, hot heat, cruise, tilt, Bose premium stereo CD system, steering wheel radio/cd controls. Shifts and drives smoothly. It just had tie rods, wheel hub assemblies, and all front end joints and seals replaced. It was also realigned one week ago. Mechanically, it runs great. It has a crack in the windshield on the top passenger's side, is scratched on the front passenger-side bumper, and some hail damage (almost entirely on hood). The heat works great, but the a/c needs to be charged. It's been checked and the leaking line replaced but still needs the coolant added. This can be done for around $40 if you do it yourself. EVERYTHING else on the car works perfectly. There aren't any tears in the leather. Serviced regularly by a mechanic. Sorry for the car being dirty in the pics. It's covered in pollen, and I haven't had a chance to wash and vacuum the car. I am doing that tomorrow though. It will be cleaned and detailed before auction end!!  The book value of my car is $3,387.  I no longer need this car, as I'll begin driving my husband's soon since he got a new vehicle. I'm selling to pay off some bills, as it's not going to be used when I begin driving his vehicle.

**The buyer is responsible for pickup.  It can be picked up in person or via a shipping company.  I will do my best to assist the buyer with shipping.  This vehicle is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end at any time due to it being sold.  As noted in the payment section, a $500 deposit is required via PayPal within 24 hours of auction end.  The balance is due within 3 days of auction end.  Please DO NOT bid unless you can meet all of these terms, as all non-paying bidders will be reported to Ebay after 24 hours without a deposit or 72 hours without payment in full.  Once the deposit has been made, the buyer forfeits all claim to the deposit if the remaining balance is not paid within 48 hours(which is 72 hours after auction close).**

Want to buy a worst-in-show-winning Faux Ferrari Fiero?

Mon, Aug 31 2020

UPDATE: This heap sold for $5,001. But don't fret, there are more terrible cars out there for the taking if that's your thing. Today we bring you something truly terrible. It's not just a fake Ferrari built on the guts of an old Pontiac Fiero, it's actually the world's worst fake Ferrari built on the guts of an old Pontiac Fiero. And it's got the award from the Concours d'Lemons to prove it. It's so heinous, in fact, that it has somehow managed to become desirable, at least judging by the bidding history of this bright red affront to Maranello. Powered by a 140-horsepower 2.8-liter V6 engine (covered by an unconvincing and broken fake V12 cover) hooked to an automatic gearbox, this gloriously poor Prancing Horse won't be winning many stoplight drag races. There are bundles of stray wires hanging down from the dashboard, it has high mileage, most of its lights don't work, and it's ugly. Like, really ugly. And to top it off, this Fauxrarri can't currently be registered in its home state of California because it has failed its most recent smog test. Put simply, you're looking at a total piece of junk. But a piece of junk with internet notoriety, having been featured on an episode of Jay Leno's Garage after attending the 2019 Quail Motorsports Gathering — by mistake at first, and then earning a special place next to the porta potties — being the focus of a video series on YouTube and winning the aforementioned ribbon for Worst in Show at Lemons. Somehow, bidding has topped $4,000 at the time of this writing. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable

Fri, 21 Sep 2012

General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
