1977 Pontiac Grand Prix S J I purchased this car from the 80 year old second owner who owned it for 30 years. It was always garaged and always well maintained. The car has a rebuilt 1971 455 c.i. engine with approximately 19,000 miles on it.He did not have the original 400 engine that was removed. The car itself has 69,000 original miles. The previous owner put in new KYB gas shocks, coil springs, brakes and hardware, radiator and carb. I have owned it since April 2012 . I had it recently painted with urethane base coat clear coat in the original code 50 cream gold. I have put in new true dual exhaust new a/c compressor recharged with R 12. It is ice cold.
The car is in mint condition. I have P.H.S documentation stating the car was sold new at Rapp and Hopkins Pontiac in Cinnaminson N.J. The car was loaded with 27 factory options including p/s, p/b,p/w power drivers seat, power moon roof, rear window defroster, cruise control, power trunk lock, cornering lamps, left and right remote mirrors, auto temp control custom sport steering wheel, delay wipers, tilt wheel and front and rear bumper guards. The car has Rally 2 sport wheels with brand new trim rings and Yokohama AEGIS-LS4 tires with approximately 80% tread. The car originally had a padded landau top which he had removed when he had the car repainted in 1990.The car runs and drives like new.I love the car but unfortunately I lost my rented garage and do not want to keep the car outside. The only two issues with the car is the cruise control does not work and the rear bumper on the right side the chrome was washed out so I sprayed it with chrome paint. NADA older car value is $17160 00.. Call rich 631-495-1249 8am-8pm EST only no texts I will not answer them thanks. |

How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car
Fri, 17 Oct 2014Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.
Junkyard Gem: 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Convertible
Sun, Jan 8 2023GM's Pontiac Division sold its first convertibles during the 1927 model year (just a year after the division's creation), then proceeded to offer memorable drop-tops for most of the following 83 years. The best-selling convertible to bear Pontiac badges during our current century was the retractable-hardtop-equipped G6, available from the G6's introduction in 2006 through the second-to-last model year of 2009 (the Sunfire convertible was available just through 2000, while the Firebird convertible vanished with the demise of the slow-selling Firebird itself after 2002). Here's one of those G6 GT convertibles, found in a Denver-region boneyard after a crash ended its driving career. Mashed right front, popped airbags. This sort of damage might have been worth repairing in 2009, but not today. The 2007 G6 was available as a coupe, sedan, or convertible. All the convertibles had the GT trim level and the 3.5-liter V6 and its 224 horsepower. The MSRP on this car was $28,750 (about $42,325 in 2022 dollars), making it the most expensive G6. The power hardtop roof folded up into the trunk, leaving 1.8 cubic feet of trunk storage space with the top down. This Karmann-designed roof system made the interior much quieter than that of a traditional soft-top convertible. All G6s were built at Orion Assembly in Michigan, where Chevy Bolts are born today. The G6 was built through the 2010 model year, making it one of the very last Pontiac models (the Vibe also made it to 2010, though it was really a Toyota Matrix). In hindsight, 2007 turned out to be an ominous year for GM.Â
This GTO-El Camino mashup is the muscle truck of our dreams
Fri, Aug 31 2018There were a hell of a lot of great muscle cars in the mid-1960s, from the baroque Dodges and Plymouths of the earlier part of the decade to the wild big boys like the Boss 429 and Olds 442 W30. Right in the middle of the decade, two of the most iconic of the bunch emerged — the Pontiac GTO and second-generation Chevy El Camino. And this one is a 1964 Chevy El Camino with the heart and face of its GTO cousin, and dubbed the El Chieftain GTO. It's currently for sale at RM Sotheby's Auburn auction, with no reserve status or estimate listed. This looks like a product that Pontiac could have sold at the time — its builder, Ron Lindeman, did an excellent job making it look like a factory product, right down to the taillight strakes inspired by the GTO. It's powered by a 389 — a Pontiac motor that was actually found in period GTOs, but sporting a single four-barrel instead of the sexy Tri-Power setup. It is, however, equipped with a Hurst four-speed manual and the grille badge to prove it to bystanders. Even the interior is made up to look like a GTO. We wish there was more of a description of the build in the listing, but if you love it, do us one better and buy the thing and invite us to poke around it. We are very much in love with this muscle-truck mashup.
