1997 Pontiac Grand Am Se Sedan 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
North Bloomfield, Ohio, United States
Selling my 1997 Grand Am simply because I got another car. This car has many new parts, including another used engine. The body has 270,000 miles on and the motor has only 105,000miles on it. Supposedly the Tranny was changed before I bought the car with 85,000 miles on it. I have owned and driven the car everyday for 2 years after the motor swap, 100 miles round trip back and forth to college and never once had an issue. It has many new parts including: Timing chain, timing chain guides and bumpers, timing cover seal, water pump, thermostat, alternator, serpentine belt, has throttle body spacer and cold air intake, newer tires about 75% tread, new front pads and rotors, new struts and shocks, wheel bearings, and 4 new window motors. I may have forgotten a thing or two so forgive me if I left something out. The Tranny shifts smooth, the engine has no knocks or ticks and starts every time the first time. It gets about 25-30mpg so it would make for a great first car or work car. The only reason why I'm only asking $2,200 is because its not the prettiest thing and it could use the AC charged and new ABS sensors in the front. Any question feel free to contact me.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes
Mon, 31 Mar 2014When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
GM issues four new recalls, 2.4 million cars affected

Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:
1,339,355 - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia models from the 2009 to 2014 model years; Saturn Outlook models from the 2009 to 2010 model years
eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
