2006 Pontiac G6 Gt Panoramic Sunroof! Very Low Miles! Loaded V6 Auto/stick Trans on 2040-cars

US $6,995.00
Year:2006 Mileage:61000
Location:

Connellsville, Pennsylvania, United States

Connellsville, Pennsylvania, United States

I am selling my G6 GT with only 61xxx miles. I have title in hand.
It has the V6 engine and an auto/stick transmission. It is Blue/gray paint with black cloth seats.
This car has all the bells and whistles including a panoramic sunroof. I think this is the coolest thing on the car.

The body is very nice with no rust and has only a few minor nicks from stone chips, etc. and the interior is extremely nice as well. The underside is rust free as well...

It is mechanically sound as well and meticulusly maintained.
Just replaced the transmission cooling lines in December 2013.
Also just replaced (03-21-14) the complete front suspension including the ball joints and lower control arms. It also had an alignment on 03-22-14.

It has new brakes and rotors all the way around as well as a fresh oil change.
Also it has a PA state inspection sticker. 07/2014.

Options include cruise control, power windows, power brakes, power mirrors, power trunk, power panoramic sunroof with power sunshade, power seat, 6 disc CD changer, auto/stick transmission and XM radio built in.

It also has the factory installed remote starter which is really nice especially in the winter.
I added the chrome grill inserts and fog light bezels when I got the car. This was a 500.00 option through GM. I also added the spoiler on the trunk lid. These are the only things on the car that isn't original.
I am only selling because I drive too many miles to work and needed a smaller car......

The price is $2,500 LOWER than Blue book value because it does have a flood/reconstructed title.

Look it up. KBB value is over 9,000 in just "good condition" by private seller. This car is probably better maintained than even a dealer would sell and I have all records and receipts to prove it. Come take a look if possible or send a mechanic to check it out. You will not be disappointed!

****The car was in clean water only up to the floor boards. Not even high enough to reach the seat bottoms. There is absolutely no rust on seat frames and no mold or mildew smells of any kind. Car seats and carpeting were immediately taken out and the carpet was cleaned therefor keeping the water from causing any damage.*****

I've driven this car for 6 years and 47,000 miles and have had NO electrical or any other issues for that matter. I checked it all out including taking apart the dash when I bought it to check all the wiring. I found no problems.....If there were to be any issues I would think they would have shown up by now...

Bring a mechanic and have them look at this car. Nothing to hide here and you will have a hard time finding a vehicle this well taken care of and maintained mechanically.

If you want any other info please email me and I will give you my phone number.

I now have 4 new Hankook Optimo all season tires on the car and also a new alignment.

That along with all the maintenance already done you can drive for a long time without any maintenance needing done!

Also I have alot more pics I can send you if you would like to see them.

Thanks for looking

Junkyard Gem: 1980 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ

Sat, Mar 4 2023

A couple of years before John DeLorean and his team at the Pontiac Division created the GTO by pasting a big engine and some gingerbread on the LeMans, they created a rakish, powerful coupe based on the staid full-size Catalina. This was the 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix, which sold like crazy and escalated the personal luxury coupe war already brewing in Detroit. Starting with the 1969 model year, the Grand Prix switched to a smaller chassis (shared the following year with the new Chevrolet Monte Carlo), and all subsequent rear-wheel-drive Grand Prix (that is, through 1987) remained siblings of the Monte. Today's Junkyard Gem is a rare 1980 Grand Prix LJ, found in a self-service yard near Reno, Nevada. Sure, a fresh round of Middle East conflict had put a kink in America's fuel hose in 1979, leading to gas lines and a general sense of malaise, but at least the new Grand Prix looked extra sharp for 1980. The LJ package came with all sorts of appearance and comfort goodies, including these "luxury seats with loose-pillow design in New Florentine Cloth." A Pontiac Phoenix LJ was available as well. These seats must have been very comfortable when new. Who needed a Cadillac when Pontiac would sell you this car at a base MSRP of just $7,000 (about $26,704 in 2023 dollars)? That price was what you paid if you were willing to get the base 3.8-liter Buick V6, though. To get a V8 engine with four-barrel carburetor, you had to pay extra. If you did pay the extra for a V8, which one you got depended on which state you lived in; in California, you got this 305-cubic-inch (5.0-liter Chevrolet small-block), and in the other 49 states you got a 301-cubic-inch (4.9-liter) Pontiac. The 305 was rated at 150 horsepower with 230 pound-feet; the 301 made 140hp and 240 lb-ft. This car was originally bought in California (the state line is about ten miles away from its final parking spot), so it has the Chevy engine. The V8 added $195 (plus $250 for the California-only emissions system) to the out-the-door price of the car, or about $1,316 in 2023 dollars. Outside of California, a 4.3-liter Chevy V6 was available for just 80 additional bucks ($305 now). All 1980 Grand Prix got a three-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment, with no manual available from the factory. This car has the optional air conditioning, which cost $601 ($2,293 after inflation). This is the "Custom Sport" steering wheel, which was standard on the LJ. The tilt option cost $81 ($309 today).

BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium

Fri, Jun 12 2015

Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
