THIS CAR IS FINE TO DRIVE HOME AND DOES NOT NEED CAR CARRIER.

THIS IS A FUN CAR TO DRIVE AND GETS COMPLIMENTS EVERYWHERE I DRIVE IT.

CAR HAS LESS THAN 20,000 MILES ON REBUILT ENGINE.

I am selling my Firebird. Book value reads 4900. I purchased it from the original owner. Car has been garage kept by original owner, and I did as well.

THIS CAR IS PERFECT FOR SUMMER CRUISING WITH THE T-TOPS, THEY ARE IN GREAT SHAPE AND ABSOLUTELY NO LEAKS IN T-TOPS!!!
I have had this car garaged for 9 months in my garage and it has not leaked one speck of oil. The transmission is a 700R and can handle a larger engine if you wanted to put a higher powered Engine in it.

The car was recently worked on by a professional mechanic to install the new speedo and adjust the carb. My mechanic
can attest to the good running condition. It does not blow any foul smoke and fires nice.

 Performance Upgrades:

1.) Slight performance cam
2.) B & M shifter with shift kit.. ($300 value)
3.) Rebuilt Engine
4.) Brand New FlowMAX High Performance Exhaust
5.) Custom Air Induction Hood Scoop for faster boost.
6.) New Carb for added power and more fuel efficient running
7.) New State of the Art Speed Hut GPS speedometer (reads quarter mile speed) ($300 value)
8.) New Sound system component by SONY is blue tooth enabled.
9.) Chrome valve covers
10.) Chrome Edelbrock hood scoop

Some Mechanical Fixes My mechanic recently did

1.) New Thermostat for radiator
2.) New heater coil
3.) New Plugs
4.) New spark plug wires
5.) New fuses
6.) Air conditioner was recharged and is ICE cold!

The car has NO RUST! BRING A MAGNET AND RUN IT ON MY CAR ANS SEE FOR YOURSELF. THIS IS THE BEST THIRD GENERATION CAR BODY I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE FRAME IS FLAWLESS AND DOORS CLOSE VERY WELL AND ARE PERFECTLY LINED.

The interior is in VERY good condition. The car has a B & M shifter, Brand New $279.00, Digital new speedhut gps speedo. The speedo measures the quarter mile time if you planned to race the car at the track.
Has Air Conditioner, Chrome Valve covers and air filter cover. It has a new paint, brand new exhaust, new heater. The rims and tires are from a Trans Am and look great.

The car has a 5.0L, 305ci engine with a performance cam, the engine was fully rebuilt by previous owner.
The Carb is a  4 barrel. Previous owner was a mechanic and the engine runs well. The stereo is new and will play mp3 files from your phone if you have bluetooth.

I love the car but will be selling as I am moving so will sell it.

FEEL FREE TO CAN COME AND TEST DRIVE THE CAR.

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two

Sun, Jun 19 2016

We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.

Junkyard Gem: 1987 Pontiac Firebird

Sat, May 9 2020

From 1967 through 2002, the Pontiac Division offered the Firebird, close sibling to the Chevrolet Camaro. By the third generation, which debuted for the 1982 model year, it became more difficult to tell the two F-body cars apart at a glance and the Pontiac-exclusive engines of the earlier years disappeared, but the Firebird still retained its own personality and its own position in the GM marketing hierarchy. I still find the occasional 1982-1992 Camaro as I search car graveyards for interesting stuff, but the corresponding Firebirds have become scarce in recent years. Here's a base-engine-equipped '87, its Bright Red paint (yes, that was the official name for the color) faded by the Colorado sun as it awaits the crusher. Firebird shoppers had their choice of three engines in 1987: A 5.7-liter Chevy V8 (210 hp), a 5.0-liter Chevy V8 (205 hp) and the same 2.8-liter 60° V6 that went into the Fiero and countless front-drive GM sedans (135 hp). This car has the base engine. The third-gen F-body didn't weigh much (3,105 pounds for the '87 with six-banger, about what a 2020 Corolla weighs), so 135 horses was tolerable. Plenty of these cars got T-5 5-speed manual transmissions, but this one got the two-pedal setup. Camaro wheels, of course. Our Friend the Carburetor didn't disappear from new cars until the early 1990s in the United States, though electronic fuel injection had become very commonplace by 1987. Still, GM considered this car's EFI worth a door-handle brag. It's not worth fixing up a mashed six-cylinder third-gen Firebird, so we can see the route this car took to its final parking space. Burt Reynolds' old Pontiac Trans Am replica sold for $317,500

Thu, Jun 20 2019

Following Burt Reynolds' passing last September, Julien's Auctions held an estate sale of the late actor's property on June 15-16 in Beverly Hills, Calif. Hundreds of items were included in the auction, but none more valuable than the Pontiac Trans Am Bandit replica previously owned by Reynolds. It easily surpassed expectations when it sold for $317,500. Julien's, the self-proclaimed experts in contemporary and pop culture, listed 876 pieces in the sale, from cowboy boots to a driver's license to scripts. The online preview said it estimated a range of prices from $25 to $200,000. They were way off. Item No. 716 was a replica of a Pontiac Trans Am Bandit that was seen in the original "Smokey and the Bandit." Not the real car, just a re-creation. But its value comes more from who owned the ride rather than what the car was. The replica was owned by Reynolds for some years, and now that he's passed, it's coveted even more. It's not the only Trans Am item that sold at auction. Three Reynolds Trans Am model cars sold for $640, $576 and $512. A Reynolds-signed "Bandit" poster sold for $3,200. A Reynolds-signed poster from the Trans Am plant sold for $1,562.50, a Reynolds custom-built Trans Am office desk sold for $4,375, and a "Smokey and the Bandit" decorative etched glass panel sold for $896. This isn't the first time a Bandit replica has sold for big money. In 2016, a promotional Trans Am sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction for $550,000. We also believe the exact car sold in this Julien's auction was previously bought at a Barrett-Jackson auction in 2018 for $192,500. If that's the case, somebody just made an extremely easy profit.
