Up For Sale is my Beautiful Black 2002 Pontiac Firehawk. I am currently the 3rd owner of this vehicle. The vehicle does have some miles on it as it was a daily driver, but is in EXCELLENT shape and has been Meticulously maintained as seen by the photos. The vehicles build number is #0069 and can be found on the firehawk registry board. The vehicle is solid and quiet and drives flawlessly, no rattles, squeaks or groans, just Raw power and the sound to back it up. Everything in the car is functional and works, all lighting, A/C, power controls, etc... NO check engine lights.. The car does have a few modifications done to it by a reputable speed shop in Dallas TX. and myself. The list includes;Freshly rebuilt high performance transmission, Comp Torquer V2 Cam, Comp 921 Dual Springs, Comp hardened pushrods, dual roller timimg chain and gears, Melling high volume oil pump, Racetronix high volume fuel pump, Pacesetter Long tube headers, custom fabbed Magnaflow exhaust with the stock SLP tips. This car has NO cats.. New water pump, New crossdrilled and slotted rotors and Hawk pads, and more not listed here. The vehicle looks totally stock on the outside and inside and all that was done to it was to only enhance its performance and sound and driveability. The car drives very well and has no problem with daily driving, very well mannered and very comfortable. Maintenance such as oil changes and plug changes and all fluids have been done throughout its life at regular intervals. This car turns heads everywhere it goes with its great shape and Awesome sound people are always coming up to me asking about it... IMPORTANT TO ANY POTENTIAL BUYER, This car still has a balance owed on it of $4500 and after a commitment has been made for the agreed purchase price (balance included in price)according to the auction I will then be using an Online Escrow Co. to complete the transaction so the bank can be paid off and then release the title, therefore having NO risk to the buyer or myself. And a lot of those ways can be boring or tasteless. This one is neither. This is a seriously classy Pontiac GTO. Under the hood is a 461 cu. in. V8 from Butler Performance that's based on an actual Pontiac V8, not just another Chevy engine. The whole thing is subtle with a low-key metallic green and clean gray wheels. There isn't any overly flashy chrome or decals.
Question of the Day: Most degraded car name?
Fri, May 27 2016When Ford came up with a not-so-sporty version of the Pinto and slapped Mustang badges on it in 1974, that was a low point for the Mustang name. When Chrysler applied the venerable Town & Country name on perfectly functional but unglamorous minivans, it saddened many of us. But perhaps the biggest demotion for a once-proud model came when, in 1988, General Motors imported a misery-enhancing Daewoo from Korea and called it the Pontiac LeMans. The original Pontiac LeMans was a great-looking midsize car with fairly advanced (for the time) suspension design and engine options including potent V8s and a screaming overhead-cam straight-six. The Daewoo-based Pontiac LeMans was a cramped, shoddy hooptie that served only to ruin the LeMans name forever, while stealing sales from the Suzuki-based Chevrolet Sprint. Sure, using the once-respected Monterey name on the Mercurized Ford Freestar was bad, but Mercury didn't have long to live at that point. I say the downward spiral of the LeMans name was the most agonizing in automotive history. What do you think? Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
