My son left for college and now I have a car that needs to move. I got this car for my son 2 years ago and he only put about 7000 miles on it during that time. I have replaced a lot of items to be sure it was safe for him to drive and look good. Below are some of the items that were replaced or added in the last 2 years.
2 complete sets of tires on Rims a total of 7000 miles on the 2 sets combined. Chrome for the summer, stock for the winter.
New Exhaust
Brakes
Headliner
Stereo
Tail light covers
Don't get me wrong, this is a 16 year old car with 160K miles on it. Overall the car looks good but the closer you get the more dings, scrapes and problems you see. The paint shines, the T-Tops do not leak, the interior is clean. The car has a nice exhaust sound with the new dual exhaust. Headlights go up and down without any problems. The airbag light is on, but it has been since we bought the car. There are no other lights or problems with the gauges.
The V6 engine runs well with no real problems that I am aware of.
The car does have A/C but it does not hold a charge for very long but with the T-tops my son did not think it was a problem.
Basically if you want a car that looks pretty good, runs well and is fun to drive all at a cheap price this is the car for you.
The accident listed in the history report last year was very minor. My son slid on a wet road into someones front yard. The police would not let him move it because it was on the lawn so it had to be towed. The nose got scraped up so we had it repainted. Other then that there was no damage.
Bid to win. The opening bid amount is the reserve!

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
GM doing fine at retaining Pontiac owners
Fri, 28 Oct 2011This isn't the first time we've reported positive news about General Motors retaining former Pontiac owners. Get a few more stories like this latest report from Edmund's Auto Observer, and it will mark an ongoing positive trend for GM. Edmunds.com crunched the numbers to see how well the General is hanging on to customers after shutting out the lights at Pontiac, and it found that nearly 40 percent of Pontiac owners stayed with a vehicle from a General Motors brand.
The numbers are a little lower than an earlier R.L. Polk & Company study, but Edmunds says General Motors is keeping more former Pontiac buyers than it has since 2007. Most are turning to vehicles from Chevrolet, especially during January and February of 2011, when GM incentivized Pontiac owners to stay under the umbrella. Those moves seem to have worked, and 28.1 percent of Pontiac owners trading up made the jump into a Bowtie.
Buyers that have gone elsewhere have largely stayed loyal to Domestic automakers, with Ford picking up the most conquests from Pontiac, with 9.4 percent switching. Toyota and Honda picked up 7.4 percent of the pool of former Pontiac drivers. The numbers are defying any predictions that Pontiac buyers would completely exit the General Motors fold, and have climbed up closer to parity with the retention figures of other GM brands from a 2009 low of only 16 percent retention.
GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
