This is a very nice Formula Firebird formally owned by a GM executive(1st Owner) and modified at the proving grounds. That is the information we were told when we picked up the car. We have no reason not to believe the information because the car has several very cool modifications. The engine has a set of custom big tube headers, cold air induction, custom exhaust, computer has been reflashed. The modifications were done perfectly, the car has no bad habits. The car can be driven normally and gets great gas mileage, or you can step down on the gas peddle and it will light up the tires and take off like a Corvette. The car has been well maintained, all the fluids are clean and fresh. We have really enjoyed having this car in our collection, but we have three too many cars and this is one of the three we have up for sale. We also have a 1936 "Chop Top" Street rod, and a 1969 numbers correct RS Camaro for sale. We reserve the right to pull this car from the auction because it is also for sale locally. Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Junkyard Gem: 1987 Pontiac Safari Station Wagon
Tue, Aug 9 2016During the 1960s and 1970s, station wagons based on full-sized Detroit sedans were the default family haulers, and many of those Kingswood Estates and Country Squires and Ambassadors came with unapologetically phony woodgrain-printed exterior paneling and trim. By the late 1980s, however, few were snapping up such wagons, making this '87 Safari that I spotted in a Denver yard an interesting find. Power for this wagon came from a 307-cubic-inch Oldsmobile V8 making 140 horsepower. General Motors used this engine in Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Chevrolets, Pontiacs, and Cadillacs, finally discontinuing production for the 1990 model year. Was the "wood" convincing, even when new? BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium

Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field.
