Okay, please read all of this!! THE GOOD NEWS IS AT THE BOTTOME!!! I have up for sale my 93 Pontiac firebird project car, it was running when I bought it, I put around a 100 miles on it. I parked it and start disassembly on it, I have bagged and tagged almost all of the parts. My intentions for this car was to build a super street rod but I do not have the time, experience or cash to finish it. The motor needs to be either rebuilt or have a new one put in, the front seal was leaking oil and I know it had an oil leak somewhere else but it wasn't bad enough to where you couldn't drive it. The transmission may just need fluid and filter but who knows my intention was to just buy a new one and sell the other as a rebuildable one. With all that would have to be done with the front seal and all I figured it would just be better to start ground up. The motor did not run all that well, it seems to me that it has an electrical problem seeing as someone drilled a hole in the firewall to run a wire that would directly power the instrument panel, and it had a hard time staying running while idling. It needs to be repainted, whoever painted it last did a horrible job, its a sparkly black and bubbles up in some spots, the headlight motors did not work, the power window motor did not work on the driver side. It needs a new interior, the dash pad is gone, the speakers do not work. The plastic wheel wells are gone and I would get a new radiator and hoses for it but I do have the old one...NOW THE GOOD NEWS!!!! I HAVE SPENT ALOT OF MONEY ON PERFORMANCE PARTS!!!! I have the complete Magnaflow exhaust kit, the BBK chrome header and y pipe, K&N fuel injection performance kit, brand new high performance throttle body, black and chrome rebuilt and repainted intake, Edelbrock 61909 super street heads w/ matching camshaft, MSD optispark distributor, ignition coil, and spark plug wires. 2 custom painted Pontiac valve covers which match the intake, 8 top of the line best you can buy iridium spark plugs, 2 12" sony sub woofers plus brand new original fit speakers for the door panels, 4 brand new 18" American racing wheels w/brand new matching 245/40/18 w speed rated falken tires. also I have bought the replacement motor for the driver side power window. The last picture I included was what it looked like when I bought it, I hope this is right up your alley!!!!

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

This GTO-El Camino mashup is the muscle truck of our dreams

Fri, Aug 31 2018

There were a hell of a lot of great muscle cars in the mid-1960s, from the baroque Dodges and Plymouths of the earlier part of the decade to the wild big boys like the Boss 429 and Olds 442 W30. Right in the middle of the decade, two of the most iconic of the bunch emerged — the Pontiac GTO and second-generation Chevy El Camino. And this one is a 1964 Chevy El Camino with the heart and face of its GTO cousin, and dubbed the El Chieftain GTO. It's currently for sale at RM Sotheby's Auburn auction, with no reserve status or estimate listed. This looks like a product that Pontiac could have sold at the time — its builder, Ron Lindeman, did an excellent job making it look like a factory product, right down to the taillight strakes inspired by the GTO. It's powered by a 389 — a Pontiac motor that was actually found in period GTOs, but sporting a single four-barrel instead of the sexy Tri-Power setup. It is, however, equipped with a Hurst four-speed manual and the grille badge to prove it to bystanders. Even the interior is made up to look like a GTO. We wish there was more of a description of the build in the listing, but if you love it, do us one better and buy the thing and invite us to poke around it. We are very much in love with this muscle-truck mashup. Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
