1967 Pontiac Firebird Base Coupe 2-door 6.6l on 2040-cars
Lubbock, Texas, United States
Condition: The overall condition of the vehicle is good. There are some small chips and cracks in the paint. In the rear quarter panels there is mild rust in the rear wheel wells. The interior is in almost perfect condition. There is a slight tear in the driver side seat and some very minor scratches on the glove box door. Other than that, the headliner is near perfect as well as the seats and the dash. The car starts right up and is driven a few times a week when the weather is nice. Please stop by and check it out if you have any questions or would like to drive it. If you would like any other pictures or have any other questions then email me and I will get back with you as soon as possible.
Features: A new carbon fiber cluster was installed. New EdelBrock Carb., complete front end & suspension replaced & changed over to disc brakes on front, New rims & tires, Transmission was rebuilt before we got it & is very strong, has a very high rearend-243, which probably needs to be change for better performance, but car is still very strong. All new weather stripping around doors & trunk lid, doors taken apart & windows rebuilt on the inside, new exhaust, car has air shocks on back that leak a little & would recommend changing unless you like that look, carpet is fairly good shape, trunk is very clean with absolutely no rust. Hate to get rid of the car, but it will help my son as he goes through the rest of college. Everything that we have done to the car we have receipts for. History: The car was purchased out of Minnesota in 2007 from Hooked on Classics. The car is Hagerty Certified and insured through Hagerty Insurance. |

BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium
Fri, Jun 12 2015Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. Junkyard Gem: 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Convertible
Sun, Jan 8 2023GM's Pontiac Division sold its first convertibles during the 1927 model year (just a year after the division's creation), then proceeded to offer memorable drop-tops for most of the following 83 years. The best-selling convertible to bear Pontiac badges during our current century was the retractable-hardtop-equipped G6, available from the G6's introduction in 2006 through the second-to-last model year of 2009 (the Sunfire convertible was available just through 2000, while the Firebird convertible vanished with the demise of the slow-selling Firebird itself after 2002). Here's one of those G6 GT convertibles, found in a Denver-region boneyard after a crash ended its driving career. Mashed right front, popped airbags. This sort of damage might have been worth repairing in 2009, but not today. The 2007 G6 was available as a coupe, sedan, or convertible. All the convertibles had the GT trim level and the 3.5-liter V6 and its 224 horsepower. The MSRP on this car was $28,750 (about $42,325 in 2022 dollars), making it the most expensive G6. The power hardtop roof folded up into the trunk, leaving 1.8 cubic feet of trunk storage space with the top down. This Karmann-designed roof system made the interior much quieter than that of a traditional soft-top convertible. All G6s were built at Orion Assembly in Michigan, where Chevy Bolts are born today. The G6 was built through the 2010 model year, making it one of the very last Pontiac models (the Vibe also made it to 2010, though it was really a Toyota Matrix). In hindsight, 2007 turned out to be an ominous year for GM.Â
Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.
