This would be a great car for a V8 Swap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1987 Pontiac Fiero.2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine and 4 speed manual transmission.I am selling car as a project car. When I purchased the car it had been sitting for a couple years inside of a shed.I cleaned out the gas tank and installed a new fuel pump and fuel filter.I also replaced the fuel pump relay and the water temperature sensor.I put in a new battery and the car started with no problem . I drove the car around the block a few times then parked in the garage. 2 days later I tried to start it and it would not start.I shot it with starting fluid and it started and ran for a few seconds then stopped.I tried starting it again with out the fluid and it did start after cranking for a while. It ran like it was running on only 2 cylinders. At this point in time due to my health and money issues I just want to sell the car and ,get back some of the money I have in it. The body of the car is in good condition. The only damage I can see are 2 cracks in the driver side plastic rocker panel. The paint looks to be original.Donot expect a show car paint job. There are some scratches and paint nicks .To be expected on a car this old.The interior is in good condition but does have some fading color areas. The only bad spot on the seats is on the driver side.Seam on back of seat near edge by the door is starting to open up.Looks like it could be repaired.Interiror is dirty and needs to be cleaned .Seats are in car but nut tightened down. This is the way I got it just never got to doing anything inside of car.The only thing missing inside is the head liner. Should not be hard to find or fabricate one.Other ares of the interior just need to be tucked in and tightened down. The motor did run very good before I shut it off and it would not start. The transmission is in very good condition.Shifted through all gears with no grinding or any other noise. The brakes worked ok for a car that had been sitting for so many years but, I would turn the rotors and replace all the pads.Wheels are decent but not great.Tires need to be replaced.Front tires hold air but, are old and craking.Rear tire are old and dry rotted. They will hold air for a couple hours. After a couple hours they go flat. This is a decent car if some one wants to put a little time into it.Get the engine in it running and it would be a great every day car. This would also be a great car for a V8 Swap.THE PROBLEM AREAS I HAVE DESCRIBED IN WRITING I HAVE TRIED TO SHOW IN THE PICTURES. PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PICTURES BEFORE BIDDING. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS. I WILL ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY. THIS IS A USED CAR AND IS BEING SOLD AS IS WITH NO GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND!

Vitruvian Energy crowdfunding to make EEB, a trashy biofuel
Sat, Nov 22 2014When sewage is treated at a wastewater treatment facility, biosolids are the byproduct. After being separated from the water, biosolids are usually sent to a landfill or incinerated. That doesn't mean that they're without value, however. Vitruvian Energy has created a process to make a usable fuel out of this human waste product, and while the source is pretty gross, it is undeniably abundant, and the results are much cleaner. EEB can be made for less than $4 a gallon. In a process that Vitruvian Energy claims is energy efficient, biosolids are femented and introduced to a type of bacteria to create PHA plastic. Reacting the PHA with ethanol creates the ethyl-3-ethoxybutyrate (EEB) biofuel. Vitruvian says EEB can be blended up to 20 percent with gasoline or diesel without any engine modifications. This lowers the carbon footprint of the fuel it's blended into, and serves to oxygenate diesel, leading to fewer harmful emissions. EEB can also be made using other organic waste products, such as corn stover, rice straw and distillers grains. EEB can be made for less than $4 a gallon and isn't subject to the maddening market fluctuations and international politics of fossil fuels. Furthermore, EEB's carbon footprint is 70 percent less than that of fossil fuels. Vitruvian also sees potential for EEB to be used on its own to power vehicles or burned to produce electricity for the grid. So far, Vitruvian Energy has used grants from the California Energy Commission and National Science Foundation to develop EEB, and has tested the fuel in a Pontiac Solstice at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Now, Vitruvian is wants to test EEB on a larger scale in the real world in order to prove EEB's viability to interested parties in the wastewater treatment industry. In an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, Vitruvian Energy hopes to raise $200,000 to build a prototype EEB production line and to run a test vehicle for a year on an EEB-diesel blend on the streets of Seattle. Donors can score some interesting perks such as shirts and bumper stickers that say "Get Clean with Poopaline." Learn more about EEB in the video and press release below. This 93-car Iowa auction is like a Big 3 classic muscle museum
Tue, Aug 27 2019Bill "Coyote" Johnson has been buying cars since high school and has amassed a collection totaling 113 vehicles, according to NBC 6 News. But time has changed his motivations and priorities, and he's decided to auction 93 of those cars, many of which are classic muscle from Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, Plymouth and Pontiac. The megasale will take place Sept. 14, 2019, in Red Oak, Iowa, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. A 1969 Plymouth Road Runner infected Coyote with a love for Detroit muscle when he was just a teenager, and his desire quickly turned into an obsession. He's spent the past 40 years finding, buying and working on a variety of makes and models. Unlike some collectors, Coyote didn't discriminate against certain brands and has rides from each of the Big 3 automakers. Included in the auction are Camaros, Satellites, Super Bees, Chargers, Challengers, Barracudas, Coronets, GTOs, Mustangs, Cutlasses and others. Possibly the most intriguing aspect of the auction is that all of these cars will be sold as-is with no reserve. Many of them will need work, depending on quality standards, but this seems like a golden opportunity to find a classic car without leaving a bank account in shambles. The auctions are open for bidding online now, and the full auction will take place on September 14. Check out the full listings and bid at VanDerBrink Auctions.
