1986 Pontiac Fiero SE with only 53k miles! (52,872 at time of listing) This makes my 8th Fiero so I know what to look for in a good one and this is a great one! The interior is super clean and in great shape, not a single rip or tear in the upholstery even. The engine and transmission both operate as they should... no engine lights, does not over heat, does not consume oil between changes etc. Factory sunroof (still has the wind deflector under the hood), all power options minus power mirrors. The tires have a lot of tread left! This Fiero is equipped with A/C but the condenser has been removed prior to me owning it. I am including all of the original manuals and the window sticker! This will look great in a frame at car shows if you enjoy them as I do. This car took third place for best original in June at a big car show. This Fiero is registered in Ohio as a Historical Vehicle and is kept in my garage when I am not enjoying it. The title is clear and the car has never been involved in any accidents and shows no signs of repair. This would make a great first Fiero or add it to your list of ones you already own. I would not hesitate to drive this car from Ohio to California. The headlight motors do work but sometimes take a few seconds or more to open after hitting the switch. The starter squeals also but always starts. The suspension is all original as far as I can tell and the car has no modifications of any kind! 100% stock which I believe is a huge plus but this can be your toy to do with as you like. I do love how people will randomly talk to me about the Fiero, its sad GM ever discontinued these but the competition was getting to close to the corvette I think...

I encourage you to come and have a look before bidding. I am available most evenings and all day on the weekends. I am located close to the interstate and a main state route so it wont be hard to find so come check it out! Ask all questions prior to bidding please, I'll be happy to answer any questions and will reply promptly. Car is for sale locally, it is possible this auction will end without notice.

$500 paypal deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. Final payment in cash only preferably, bank issued checks must clear before I will release the car. NO personal checks or money orders. This deposit is non refundable and the final transaction needs completed with in 14 days of auction close.

Good luck!

BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium

Fri, Jun 12 2015

Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. Junkyard Gem: 1997 Pontiac Sunfire SE Convertible

Sun, Mar 5 2023

For the entire 24-year production run of the GM J platform (best known for the Chevrolet Cavalier), the Pontiac Division offered new J-Body cars for sale in the United States. First there was the J2000, followed in quick succession by the 2000, 2000 Sunbird and Sunbird. The Sunbird stuck around until the Cavalier got a major redesign for the 1995 model year, at which point Pontiac changed the car's name to Sunfire. Today's Junkyard Gem is one of those early Sunfires, a top-of-the-line SE convertible with the optional big engine and manual transmission. The Sunfire was an extremely close sibling to the same-year Cavalier (by the late 1980s, all the other US-market GM divisions had dropped their J-cars, which meant no more Skyhawks, Cimarrons or Firenzas), quite difficult to distinguish from its near-twin at a glance. The base engine for the 1997 Sunfire convertible was the pushrod 2.2-liter straight-four that powered so many J-bodies of the 1990s. That engine produced just 120 gnashing, valve-floating horsepower, not much by late-1990s standards. For a mere 450 additional dollars, however, the 2.4-liter Twin Cam engine and its high-revving 150 horses could be had by '97 Sunfire buyers. That's what's in this car. This is one of the members of the Oldsmobile Quad 4 family, though some fanatics will yell at you if you apply that name to the versions that don't have big QUAD 4 lettering cast into the valve cover. This is the most powerful engine ever used in production Sunfires. For 1997, Pontiac offered a four-speed automatic transmission for no extra cost in the Sunfire convertible. Buyers of all other Sunfire models that year had to shell out either $550 or $810 ($1,026 or $1,511 in 2023 dollars) for a two-pedal rig. That means that the buyer of this car really wanted the five-speed manual transmission (or just hungered for the $810 credit offered in the fine print for takers of the manual). Plenty of free-breathing engine power, five-on-the-floor driving enjoyment and the open skies above. What a fun car! This one made it to nearly 180,000 miles. For this car with the Quad 4 under the hood and a clutch pedal on the floor, the MSRP was $18,539 (about $34,584 today). Its Cavalier LS convertible twin with the same engine/transmission setup cost $17,365 ($32,394 now). This car has a bunch of options, including the 15" Rally aluminum wheels, so the out-the-door price would have been higher. The last year for the Sunfire was 2005, same as the Cavalier.

eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile

Sun, 29 Apr 2012

Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
