1959 Pontiac Catalina 2dr Sedan-original 21,715 Mile Vehicle on 2040-cars
Sylvania, Ohio, United States
Selling a 1959 Pontiac Catalina 2dr sedan with 21,715 original miles. This vehicle is about 99% original; tires, brakes, water pump, spark plugs, fuel pump, and battery are not original. This was a two owner car (until I bought it), always kept in a dry or heated garage. It is a base option car, with only power steering option (even has radio delete). Vehicle is overall in very good condition, including bumpers, chrome, stainless-no dings or dents in any of the trim. Glass is all original and excellent, no fogging. Interior is in good condition, with some tears in the front seat, door panels very good but could use cleaning, carpet/mats are good. Engine runs great/quiet and transmission shifts like new-surprisingly no leaks (rear seal was replaced). Body is in very good/solid condition-no rust through anywhere. Look at the photographs, the car is just as good as it looks (paint is dull). There are some very minor surface rust spots. I drove this home on the highway at 70-75 mph and drove smooth and straight. There are very few of these original/untouched cars left (especially 2dr. Pontiacs). Also have some documentation: Copy of title when 2nd owner bought in 1989 with 14,348 miles; receipt for battery 05/2014; brakes overhaul 11/2003; adjust carburetor 02/1991; thermostat 08/1990; crossover pipe, exhaust pipe, muffler, tailpipe 05/1990; rear main oil seal and pan gasket 09/1989. Also a 1959 Pontiac sales brochure. Any questions, please ask.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.
eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
