Hello and thanks for stopping to check out our 1967 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible! The car has the following options: 99,197 ACTUAL MILES! 400CID V-8/Automatic Transmission Power Steering and Brakes Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette Stereo Power Windows Remote Mirrors This car was purchased from an older couple who had the car for close to 25 years. They drove it only on nice days. The car starts and runs perfectly and is full of pep. The brakes stop exactly like they should. The tires are nearly new, with less than 1,000 miles on them. The top is 10 years old and goes up and down without any issues. All four power windows go up and down without a problem, as well. The exhaust sounds good. This car is a pleasure to be in whether you’re the driver or a passenger. You have plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the ride! The interior of the car is in remarkably nice condition. We believe it’s all original. The body of the car is very nice with just a very small amount of rust. The engine compartment is all original, but we do not have the original air cleaner. Somebody decided they liked this one better somewhere down the line. We don’t see any leaks on the car at all. The heat and the lights are all working. However, the gas gauge is presently not working, but it’s being sold with a full tank of gas. The frame on the car is in good condition. As you see in the pictures, the trunk is very solid. This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod
Fri, 21 Feb 2014There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.

This KITT replica sold at auction for $32,500
Thu, Apr 23 2020UPDATE: This 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am KITT replica officially sold for $32,500. Here's hoping the new owner has a blast throwin' it into Pursuit Mode. Let's get one thing straight right off the bat: This isn't a perfect KITT replica. The original KITT used in the Knight Rider TV series was based on a 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The one you see above, which is currently for sale at auction site Bring A Trailer, is a 1987 model, and since it's a GTA edition, it has some extra body cladding that the smooth-sided television car lacked. That aside, most casual observers would probably never notice the difference, and even those who did (like us) are still likely to be impressed by the car's transformation. This KITT replica is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. It ought to be fairly quick, though quite a bit shy of the fictional car's very fictional 300-mph top speed. We're not exactly Knight Rider experts, but some quick Google sleuthing suggests that the Knight Industries Two Thousand supposedly cost more than $11,000,000 to build in Hollywoodland. This one will surely command a significantly lower sum — as of this writing, it's been bid up to $18,000 with four days remaining on the auction. This content is hosted by a third party. Junkyard Gem: 1987 Pontiac Safari Station Wagon
Tue, Aug 9 2016During the 1960s and 1970s, station wagons based on full-sized Detroit sedans were the default family haulers, and many of those Kingswood Estates and Country Squires and Ambassadors came with unapologetically phony woodgrain-printed exterior paneling and trim. By the late 1980s, however, few were snapping up such wagons, making this '87 Safari that I spotted in a Denver yard an interesting find. Power for this wagon came from a 307-cubic-inch Oldsmobile V8 making 140 horsepower. General Motors used this engine in Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Chevrolets, Pontiacs, and Cadillacs, finally discontinuing production for the 1990 model year. Was the "wood" convincing, even when new?
