There are not many cars from 1960's that you can just go out and purchase that have been literally untouched since day one. This 1967 Bonneville is just that, over the entire life of this car, it has had 5 owners, only 2 of them actually paid for the car. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this Pontiac Bonneville. We have the entire paper trail of this car from it's original window sticker, to the current owners title and everything in between.

This car is truly a servivor.

Each one of those owners very few miles a year on the vehicle. A car with a paper trail like this one can really be a key factor in knowing your getting a true original, including a PHS report, window sticker and all the copies from when the car was first bought.

The low mileage is mainly due to the fact that the car was stored in the 2nd owners garage from 1983 until 2002. That's when the family actually gave the car to their neighbor and he brought it back to life. All he did was drop the fuel tank, clean the lines, rebuilt the fuel pump and carburetor, and fill her with new fluids.

After being garage kept for the majority of its life, its safe to say this Pontiac is a step above "barn find" in terms opening a garage and seeing this beauty sitting there in all its glory.

The exterior is also a thing of beauty. The four door sedan flows effortlessly from the front bumper to the rear bumper. The vinyl hardtop adds a two tone effect that really grab your attention. The rear fenders are elongated to hang lower than the top of the rear tires for a real interesting look.

The  stance shows this car to sit a litter lower to the ground that you may have thought. Pontiac suspension provides a luxury ride perfect for any occasion or road condition.

There are some signs of wear on the body that have accumulated over the years, but that is what's expected on a car this old that has never been restored.

The interior is where you find all the luxuries that make for an awesome driving experience. Complete with power windows, door locks, seats, steering and brakes, the effort it takes to drive this car is close to cars today.

The black bench and rear seat provides plenty of comfort to haul your friends around town.

The 3rd owner kept the Bonneville until 2011 when he sold it to the 4th owner who drove it only 228 miles before putting it on consignment at a dealer in OK.

There is also the factory AM/FM radio that allows you to listen to your favorite tunes on those Sunday afternoon drives. All gauges are still in working order, while even the AC can still cool you down even in this warm Texas weather.

1967 can be considered a transition year for the Bonneville model. The previous 389 cu in V8 was replaced with the new 400 cu in V8 engine producing around 330 HP. Also, the previous standard 600 CFM carter square bore four barrel and optional Tri-Power was replaced with the new Quadrajet spread bore carburator delivering 800 CFM.

So, with the addition of more power connected to the factory Turbo Hydramatic transmission means this car can get you from point A to point B as fast as you want. One look under the hood and you can see that this car has once again been untouched with the signs of normal wear and tear over the years.

Junkyard Gem: 2009 Pontiac G3

Sun, Mar 28 2021

Things weren't looking so rosy for Pontiac Division in late 2008, as The General had troubles of its own that culminated in Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June of 2009. Meanwhile, the Solstice and G8 had failed to revive Pontiac's youthful "excitement" image. Naturally, this seemed like the ideal time to put Pontiac badges and a new grille on the Chevrolet Aveo (itself a rebadged Daewoo Kalos) and call it the G3 (in the United States) or the G3 Wave (in Canada). Sales were not brisk, to put it mildly, and the 2009-only G3 has become one of the rarest modern Pontiacs in the junkyard world. The announcement of Pontiac's demise came in the spring of 2009, with the very last Pontiac-badged vehicle built being either a G3 or a Vibe (since those cars were really Daewoos and Toyotas, respectively, the true final Pontiac was the 2010 G6). The Aveo itself disappeared after the 2011 model year, replaced by an updated Kalos design known here as the Chevrolet Sonic. As a result of the GM bankruptcy, termination of the Pontiac brand, a nasty worldwide recession, and the preference of American vehicle shoppers for trucks or at least truck-shaped cars, few knew the G3 existed and fewer still thought to buy one. This is only the second G3 I've managed to find in a car graveyard, and I've been searching diligently.  So, it's a Junkyard Gem in the historical sense, not in the sense of being the kind of car you'd want to take to your 20th high school reunion. That said, it has power windows, air conditioning, and a CD player— pretty nice stuff for a dirt-cheap econobox from a decade back. And look! An AUX jack for your iPod or early-model smartphone. I drove dozens of cheap rental cars for my job with the 24 Hours of Lemons Traveling Circus during the late 2000s, and very few had this feature; until about 2013 or so, you had to travel with your own CDs or one of those horrible wireless FM modulators if you wanted to listen to anything other than the radio in a non-high-roller rental car. Under the hood, a 106-horse Daewoo Ecotec displacing 1.6 liters. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. If there were any television commercials for the G3, I guarantee that they weren't as fun as this one— set in the California high desert, of course— for the SKDM Kalos.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

GM repairing 40,500 Pontiac Vibes as part of Toyota airbag recall

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

General Motors has confirmed to Autoblog that the Pontiac Vibe is included in Toyota's just-announced recall action. The Vibe and the Toyota Matrix share a large number of parts, including the affected cable to the airbag.
"About 40,500 Pontiac Vibes from the 2009-2010 model years are included in the Toyota recall. Toyota designed and engineered the Vibe for Pontiac. GM will service customers with these vehicles when Toyota makes the parts available," said GM recall spokesperson Alan Adler to Autoblog in an email.
The recall covers 1.3 million Toyota units in the US, including 2009-2010 Corolla, Matrix and Tacoma, the 2008-2010 Highlander, the 2006-2008 Rav4 and 2006-2010 Yaris, plus the addition of the 2009-2010 Vibe. The models all have their airbag module attached via a spiral electrical cable. The connections on this cable can be damaged when turning the steering wheel. Once broken, the airbag deactivates and the airbag warning light comes on. Toyota has an improved part, but it's still making preparations to begin repairs. It will begin notifying owners soon.
