Please don't let the original White surface rusty Patina scare you thinking this is a rust bucket well it's not it only is surface and there's no rust rot any where I do have a lift near by I can send pics the only spot I did notice was the front floor pan about a silver dollar size this car has been indoor storage since 1972 and when I bought it only had 27000 original miles on it so do the Math.

I have all original paper work from Owner (see pics) with Very Rare IDENT-O-PLATE with VIN # plate, plus all frayed Original curtains and all items inside car you see Gurney Oxygen tank are original this is my daily driver on weekends to local shows here in So Cal.

This Pontiac Bonneville Ambulance has never been in any accidents since I have owned it ,The Ambulance has very minimal metal work ever done to it.

It does appear that the left side Quarter panel and doors had some repairs back in the day based on the paint color not matching and where painted an off white NON matched color much brighter white not the egg shell color there's some small area on left center door that has some body filler coming off (very minor) as this is all original repairs from 1960's as it was stored in 72 , all door lines look very nice no sagging of doors or out of alignment to door latches , the front hood and fenders do show nice original rustic patina it does appear the ambulance was original light blue .I do think the lite blue was the original color till the company decided to repaint it Ambulance color (white).

The interior dash is very nice condition considering this is 53 years old still is soft and flexible not dried up or cracking there's some very minor seam breaks on seat area  and sagging of lower panel on door panels very minor.

The headliner is in excellent condition with no fraying or missed stitches also has the rare V shaped zipper in headliner up front for removal of the red light globe which does work like new (wing nut) .

The rubber floor matt is original from Pontiac. I do have all original wheels and hub caps with spare all are 15" also the winner gets all the original parts I removed from Ambulance (upgrade) .

I do have the original finned front hubs and brake parts as I went with disc brakes new owner will receive .

The radio was never installed from factory as this is an Ambulance so there's a delete plate in it's place very rare part.

This Ambulance is registered in my name and insured in my name comes with a California clear title in my name, your welcome to come to my shop for inspection and a test drive and hear the very loud growler siren and see the red light flash as you drive down the street ,

Junkyard Gem: 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Daytona 500 Edition

Tue, Aug 29 2017

The W Platform proved to be extremely long-lived and versatile for General Motors, remaining in production from 1988 all the way through 2016. You had your Impalas and your Regals and your Cutlass Supremes, and of course the 1988-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was a W-body. For the 2000 model year, Pontiac made the racy-looking Daytona 500 Edition Grand Prix, an example of which I just found in a Northern California self-service wrecking yard. 2,000 of these cars were made, presumably because it was the year 2000, and each one sports plenty of cool-looking Daytona 500 graphics. Perhaps some Regal owner will buy these seats and swap them. This is the second junked Daytona 500 Grand Prix I have seen recently, after this one in Colorado. The Daytona 500 was about the same as the GTP version, with Eaton-supercharged 3800 engine making a respectable 240 horsepower. Disappointingly, this car has an automatic transmission. It never saw 150,000 miles, unlike most 21st-century W-bodies I see in wrecking yards. Featured Gallery Junked 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Daytona 500 Edition View 21 Photos Auto News Pontiac Sedan

David Hasselhoff's own KITT replica up for auction

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

Depending on when and where you grew up, the name David Hasselhoff likely conjures up images of Knight Rider, Baywatch, pop singer, or possibly a washed-up TV actor, but one thing that can never be taken away from The Hoff is his connection to one of the greatest automotive icons in pop culture. The Knight Industries Two Thousand, usually shortened to simply KITT, was the real star of Knight Rider for many fans. Based on a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, the car combined snarky quips for comedy relief and stunts to provide much of the show's actions. Now, Julien's Auctions is selling Hasselhoff's own replica as part of a larger sale of the actor's personal memorabilia collection.
This recreation is based on a 1986 Firebird and comes with all of the tech on the inside that now seems hilariously outdated, like the yoke steering wheel and plethora of buttons. The interior also thoughtfully includes a voice box with over 4,000 sound clips from the show. With a 5.0-liter V8 and an automatic transmission, performance is likely adequate and period correct. According to the listing, this car was created by fans and given to the Hoff. Sadly, the replica doesn't convert to Super Pursuit Mode like KITT could in later seasons, and we most associate KITT with conventional front-hinged doors to go with the power t-tops and ejector seats.
Bidding currently sits $27,500 with eight bids, since starting at $15,000. Julien's predicts it will sell for between $30,000 and $50,000. If there is some nostalgia for KITT in your heart, there is still plenty of time to bid.

Junkyard Gem: 1989 Pontiac 6000 STE AWD

Sun, Aug 1 2021

During the middle to late 1980s, General Motors made a big push to grab back some of the sales swiped by makers of European luxury machinery during the previous decade. Around the top of the prestige pyramid, there was the Turin/Hamtramck-built Cadillac Allante taking aim at the Mercedes-Benz 560SEC and the super high-tech Buick Reatta trying to seduce away BMW and Jaguar shoppers; even the Riviera offered a futuristic touchscreen computer sorely lacking in anything out of Stuttgart or Bavaria. The General had a plan to take on the smaller German sporty sedans, too, and Pontiac of the "We Build Excitement" era offered a midsize sedan packed with modern hardware at a great price: the 6000 STE. Here's one of the rarest 6000 STEs of them all, an all-wheel-drive-equipped '89 found in a Denver-area yard last week. Any 6000 STE is extremely hard to find today; when I wrote about a front-wheel-drive 1987 6000 STE back in 2018, desperate owners of these cars filled my inbox with requests — sometimes demands —  for parts that continue to this day. Many of them pleaded with me to help them find an all-wheel-drive version, and now I have managed to find one at Colorado Auto & Parts in Englewood, just south of Denver (in fact, the same yard at which I shot the '87). You may recall CAP as the old-school yard whose owners built the amazing airplane-engined 1939 Plymouth pickup a few years back.  The all-wheel-drive system on the 6000 STE was introduced for the 1988 model year, and it became standard equipment on the 1989 STE. At this time, the automotive industry had taken note of the success of the idiot-proof all-wheel-drive systems offered by AMC and Audi/Volkswagen; Toyota began selling Americans all-wheel-drive Camrys, Celicas, and Corollas, while Ford offered the Tempo and Topaz with optional AWD and Subaru was just beginning to make the switch from manually-selected four-wheel-drive to genuine all-wheel-drive around that time (it took a few more years for everyone to standardize on the 4WD/AWD terminology we use today, though). The 6000 STE AWD was intended to compete with such all-wheel-drive-equipped sedans as the Audi 80 ($23,610), Audi 90 ($28,840), and BMW 325iX ($30,750); its $22,599 price tag (about $50,700 in 2021 dollars) certainly made it seem like a bargain compared to those cars. In addition to the all-wheel-drive system, 1989 6000 STE owners got a digital instrument panel and more switches and buttons than the Space Shuttle.
