Low Reserve.....! Hello, up for sale is my Absolutely beautiful 1969 Tempest/Lemans "GTO" Tribute Car. Hopefully the pictures I've taken of the car illustrate just how nice the car is. This is an original California Car, built in Fremont Ca. And sold to its first owner in Hawthorne Ca. I bought the car from the 3rd owner here in Central California. Note, all previous owners took outstanding care of this car and I have the original Protect-O-Plate, maintenance receipts, original Manuals and Pontiac Warranty Card which help demonstrate. After reviewing all the information (Maintenance Receipts), that came with the car I believe it to be an original 85,000 mile car.
This is truly a one of a kind Resto'mod, this is a 69' Tempest/Lemans that has several of the GTO features added to it, such as the GTO Hood, 455 Pontiac Motor, Muncie 4-speed Transmission. "This is a complete ground up restoration", the entire suspension has been upgraded, new spring, shocks, bushing, control arms, front and rear sway bars and front disc brake conversion. The engine is a 4-bolt main 455, block number "9799140" that's been rebuilt and rated at approximately 370 horsepower. The 4-speed Muncie Transmission is new, to include new clutch and Hurst Shifter. Under the hood you'll find brushed aluminum pulleys, hood hinges, brake master cylinder, M/T valve covers, alternator, and power steering pump. You'll also find a MSD ignition, 4-core aluminum radiator, and double electric fans. 4-barrel carburetor, and Hooker Headers. All the work done on this car was done professionally, with every aspect thought out and planned carefully.
The interior of the Car has been completely redone, new after market gauges. It has black carpeting, dash, door panels, and headliner. The seats are done in vinyl, charcoal grey with medium grey ported inserts. The exterior paint color, Med. Grey Metallic coordinates very well with the interior and gets constant complements wherever I go.
The exhaust is new and sounds great. It has chrome exhaust tips added. The Stainless Steel gas tank is new also. All the interior gauges work, as do all lights and wipers. It has the factory radio in place, however it doesn't have speakers installed. The car has no leaks.
I'm sure I've failed to mention some other characteristics of the car but hopefully you get the general idea of this car's overall great condition. This car more than just competes with true GTO's of the same era, in my opinion it blows away many of them. This is an opportunity to own a 455, 4-speed GTO tribute car for a fraction of the cost of a true GTO. There's no way for me to recoup all the time and money that's gone into this car but I'm ready to sale. I'm motivated to sell so I'll consider all reasonable offers. The car is being sold as is with no warranty given or implied, I have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end the listing early if a qualified offer is received. You can call me for more questions, or offers thanks, Billy 661-340-3497.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.

Junkyard Gem: 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Convertible

Sun, Jan 8 2023

GM's Pontiac Division sold its first convertibles during the 1927 model year (just a year after the division's creation), then proceeded to offer memorable drop-tops for most of the following 83 years. The best-selling convertible to bear Pontiac badges during our current century was the retractable-hardtop-equipped G6, available from the G6's introduction in 2006 through the second-to-last model year of 2009 (the Sunfire convertible was available just through 2000, while the Firebird convertible vanished with the demise of the slow-selling Firebird itself after 2002). Here's one of those G6 GT convertibles, found in a Denver-region boneyard after a crash ended its driving career. Mashed right front, popped airbags. This sort of damage might have been worth repairing in 2009, but not today. The 2007 G6 was available as a coupe, sedan, or convertible. All the convertibles had the GT trim level and the 3.5-liter V6 and its 224 horsepower. The MSRP on this car was $28,750 (about $42,325 in 2022 dollars), making it the most expensive G6. The power hardtop roof folded up into the trunk, leaving 1.8 cubic feet of trunk storage space with the top down. This Karmann-designed roof system made the interior much quieter than that of a traditional soft-top convertible. All G6s were built at Orion Assembly in Michigan, where Chevy Bolts are born today. The G6 was built through the 2010 model year, making it one of the very last Pontiac models (the Vibe also made it to 2010, though it was really a Toyota Matrix). In hindsight, 2007 turned out to be an ominous year for GM.

Junkyard Gem: 1987 Pontiac Safari Station Wagon

Tue, Aug 9 2016

During the 1960s and 1970s, station wagons based on full-sized Detroit sedans were the default family haulers, and many of those Kingswood Estates and Country Squires and Ambassadors came with unapologetically phony woodgrain-printed exterior paneling and trim. By the late 1980s, however, few were snapping up such wagons, making this '87 Safari that I spotted in a Denver yard an interesting find. Power for this wagon came from a 307-cubic-inch Oldsmobile V8 making 140 horsepower. General Motors used this engine in Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Chevrolets, Pontiacs, and Cadillacs, finally discontinuing production for the 1990 model year. Was the "wood" convincing, even when new? Of course not, but it was a cherished American tradition. Related Video: Featured Gallery 1987 Pontiac Safari station wagon in Colorado junkyard View 18 Photos Auto News Pontiac station wagon
