This car is one of the best GTO conversions you will find. Extremely clean inside and out, straight body, no dents, one spot of rust on the entire car (left bottom of door), rest of the car is nearly flawless.

Engine was built in 2010 by Kauffman Racing http://www.krepower.com/ and has a 1972 GTO 455 CI engine bored 30 over, Kauffman aluminum high-performance heads, JE pistons, Eagle rods, 69 ram air headers, competition roller cam, custom dual exhaust, MSD ignition, Edelbrock intake manifold and Edelbrock 650 electric double carb, Wizard dual fan cooling system. New battery, freeze plugs and gaskets, fuel pump, performance starter, alternator and more. Car has an oil leak behind intake manifold that I plan to fix prior to the sale, unless you want to fix it which I will take $500 off the sales price. Eaton 10 bolt posi rear-end with 342 gears (perfect for street driving/racing), 350 turbo tranny with Hurst 3 speed slap-shifter, stabilizer bars and race track off-set. (needs to be adjusted if you don't want to track the car) I have not put the car on a Dyno but should be 600 HP and 610 tq.

New interior by Paul Atkins http://www.paulatkinsinteriors.com/ new carpets, Pontiac wood steering wheel, new dash (included, not in car yet), American racing chrome mags, Kumho 250/50/17 front, 255/55/17 rear with lots of tread, spray liner in trunk and much more. Need to see to appreciate.

Car is a real head-turner, drives straight and will rip your eyebrows off at the same time.

Camaro-based Trans Am SE Bandit Edition borrows Burt Reynolds

Tue, Mar 29 2016

For some reason, modifying modern Chevrolet Camaros into the lurching, reincarnated shells of the Pontiac brand is still a thing. If you're the perverse sort that likes this kind of thing, you should check out the latest product from the Trans Am Depot, which comes complete with an endorsement from the star of Smokey and the Bandit, Burt Reynolds. Yes, the new Trans Am SE Bandit Edition has been signed and endorsed by the man himself, but what's important here is not the signature on the dash, it's the bits of Camaro that have been modified. Aesthetically, that means a Bandit-and-Frog-approved set of T-tops, a front-opening hood with a very large, prominent shaker scoop, an equally large and prominent screaming chicken, and Trans Am-inspired front and rear fascias. And naturally, Burt Reynolds' signature adorns the dash. There are plenty of reminders in the cabin about this car's Hollywood inspiration, too. Bandit decals can be found on the front headrests and center console lid, there are chicken wings on the Camaro-spec plastic door inserts, and the black-and-tan color scheme matches nicely with the exterior look. And power? Well, Sheriff Buford T. Justice would have a lot more trouble keeping up with this Trans Am than he did with the original. The 7.4-liter LSX V8 has been paired with a 2.9-liter supercharger which is good for 840 horsepower. It's fast and loud, and even if you can't get behind the look (we can't), at least this Camaro-in-Trans Am's clothing can impress with its performance. The Bandit Edition is limited to just 77 units with prices starting around $115,000. You can check out the official video from Trans Am Depot, which comes with a decent helping of Burt Reynolds, up top. Related Video:

Another Burt Reynolds Trans Am is up for auction

Wed, Jan 18 2017

Fans of Smokey and the Bandit, your car has arrived. This Saturday, January 21, Barrett-Jackson will auction a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am clone that, while not originally in the movie, was owned and signed by the Bandit himself, Burt Reynolds. Not only that, but it packs many modifications that should make this Pontiac drive the way we all imagined it did. This is a Trans Am clone, not an original. The car was built by Nebraska company Restore A Muscle Car, and started life as a lowly Firebird Formula. However, the company brought it up to Trans Am grade and beyond. Under the hood is a fuel-injected 8.2-liter V8 from Butler Performance that Restore A Muscle Car says produces 600 horsepower. Coupled to the big V8 is a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. There's even Hurst line-lock on-board, so this Trans Am should be perfect for on-demand burnouts. The car also comes with QA1 coil-over suspension, so it should corner better than the original, too. The outside looks roughly like a stock Trans Am, but it now has 18-inch wheels styled after those from the movie car, and the shaker scoop says "8.2" on each side. View 5 Photos In 2014, a 1977 Trans Am owned by Reynolds sold for a whopping $450,000. That car wasn't an actual movie car either, and lacked the modifications of this one. However, it was used as a promotional car and was given to Reynolds, so it did have some history with the film. This upgraded car is listed in the Barrett-Jackson catalog as "no reserve," so it's going home with a new owner on Saturday, regardless of price. Related Video:
