This is a Rare chance to own a car that is hard to find. This is a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix Turbo Mclaren That still smells like a new car, this car has never seen rain and has been in a covered garage since bought new. I am the second owner of the car and just dont drive or visit it as much as it should be. The car has original Good Year Eagle GTs (which i would replace if your going to make a drivers car) or keep original for collecting. The paint is flawless and the inside smells new I have replaced the battery and Im sure the AC will need to be replaced due to it sitting for 25 years i have cans of r12 that came with the car but if your going to drive daily i would replace with current ac. There were only 750 made in 1989 and only in red and black rarer still is that this one dosent have a sunroof which only 19 were made that way mclaren did so much to the car that I suggest you google it I have a 1990 black turbo grand prix with 55 thousand miles on it that i drive and i bought the red one as a collector but i have no room at the house so its in a climate storate unit down the street. It belongs with someone who has room to collect or someone who wants a 25 year old brand new car that no one has on the road. its still gets 28 miles to the gallon and has every bell and whistle including the first Pontiac HUD (heads up display)... I will be posting more pictures soon but this is a beautiful car... I really dont want to let it go but ... .... please ask any questions |

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Junkyard Gem: 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Daytona 500 Edition
Tue, Aug 29 2017The W Platform proved to be extremely long-lived and versatile for General Motors, remaining in production from 1988 all the way through 2016. You had your Impalas and your Regals and your Cutlass Supremes, and of course the 1988-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was a W-body. For the 2000 model year, Pontiac made the racy-looking Daytona 500 Edition Grand Prix, an example of which I just found in a Northern California self-service wrecking yard. 2,000 of these cars were made, presumably because it was the year 2000, and each one sports plenty of cool-looking Daytona 500 graphics. Perhaps some Regal owner will buy these seats and swap them. This is the second junked Daytona 500 Grand Prix I have seen recently, after this one in Colorado. The Daytona 500 was about the same as the GTP version, with Eaton-supercharged 3800 engine making a respectable 240 horsepower. Disappointingly, this car has an automatic transmission.
