I have a 2000 GTP with a rebuilt 3.8 SC, it has higher compression then a normal 3.8 making it faster then the stock about 95k on the rebuild, it also has a spectre cold air intake, a aftermarket computer and a blower that's been ported, the car is around 280 HP which is quite a bit more then the stocks and it still has a lot of performance left to be done. I've been told she's pushing 300 HP. It runs with 5.0's and my friends 300 HP Vette, THIS CAR IS FAST. The tranny has also been rebuilt with a shift kit, it has abut 20k on the rebuild. Has a ws6 hood, new halo headlights and new led taillights. The halos need wired in. It has gauge pods that need wired up, they show a variety of colors when there hooked up. The A/C blows VERY cold, just had a full service oil change.The car has a lot of new parts: front wheel bearings, rotors, brakes all the way around, tires all the way around, tie rod ends, camber, rack n pinion, power steering lines & pump, transmission pan gasket, front end alignment, the motor mounts and rear struts were replaced when the engine was rebuilt. I have all the paint for the car and there's a lot left, blue leds and gtp emblems that will go with the car. The rims are just factory ones but painted black. The body is pretty close to perfect just a couple little things, one of the pics show a spot on the passenger side door but you have to get up really close to see it. A piece of the trim is a little off on the passenger side because of a broken clip, and then on the back bottom piece where it says Pontiac in black there's little scratches but otherwise the car looks great! When it was painted 5 coats of paint were put on then 3 coats of clear coat. The door jams do need finished but like I said I have all the paint left over. The color is metallic sonic blue. The inside could use a little cleaning up but nothing major. The carpet needs shampooed or replaced due to previous owners leaving stains primarily on the back floorboard. The leather is in good shape no tears but a little wear on the front two seats there custom with Grand Prix stitched in them, the backseats look great. The headliner is newer but it sags a tiny bit on one side it just needs adjusted, and only one of the door panels matches it and its in the back the other 3 are the original cloth panels and the front two have a couple small cigarette burns in them due to previous owners. It does have working power locks and windows but there is no remote for the car just 2 keys. The blue dash could have been painted better but it looks good, the window tint is old and the car needs a rearview mirror. Under the hood around the edges is blue but the motor was never pulled out to paint the inside of the engine so its still maroon. Other then that this car is AWESOME, I have over $8000 in it and am selling because I have 2 vehicles and need to get rid of one.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

Tony Stewart to star in Smoke Is The Bandit web series
Mon, 10 Mar 2014NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is making good use of his nickname Smoke in new videos inspired by the 1970s classic Smokey and the Bandit. The original is one of the quintessential automotive movies of its era with a fantastic combination of slapstick comedy and great car stunts in a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. If you've never seen it, check it out immediately.
In the new six-part Smoke IS the Bandit web series, Stewart takes on the role of Burt Reynolds' famous character complete with huge mustache. But instead of trying to smuggle cases of Coors beer it's Mobil 1 oil. The series promises to recreate many of the famous scenes from the movie and includes cameos from other NASCAR drivers.
To complete the look, future videos just need a quality replacement for a young Sally Field to ride shotgun. It would also be really cool if Reynolds could make a brief appearance at some point. Scroll down to check out the trailer and the first episode in the series.
'67 Chevy Corvair convertible vs. '86 Pontiac Fiero in cult classic showdown
Fri, 22 Aug 2014Every few a decades, the folks running General Motors lose their minds briefly try to market a car that public doesn't see coming and often aren't ready for. In the '60s there was the rear-engine, air-cooled Chevrolet Corvair, then the mid-engine Pontiac Fiero in the '80s and the completely bizarre Chevy SSR in the 2000s. What all of these had in common was that they bucked the trend for American models of their era, for better or worse. The latest episode of Generation Gap tasked the hosts with finding two cult classic vehicles to choose between; they came come up with two of these quirky products from The General.
On the classic side, there's a 1967 Chevy Corvair Monza convertible. Being from later in the production run, it wears slightly more aerodynamic styling than the earlier, boxier examples. Hanging out back is an air-cooled, 2.7-liter flat-six pumping out a robust 95 horsepower. In the other corner is the somewhat more modern 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE with a mid-mounted, 2.5-liter "Iron Duke" four-cylinder, an engine nearly ubiquitous in GM cars of the '80s.
Judging by when they were new, the Corvair was far more successful than the Fiero with over 1.8 million sold. Of course, Ralph Nader's book Unsafe at Any Speed kind of poisoned the well, even if the poor safety reputation wasn't entirely deserved. The Fiero on the other hand only lasted for a few model years before shuffling off, but it eventually got its own performance boost with the V6 version and rather attractive GT models.
