2006 Pontiac Grand Prix W/ Remote Start on 2040-cars

2006 Pontiac Grand Prix with remote start. I bought this car with about 40k miles on it and it presently has around 108k on a 3.8L V6. Has had routine maintenance performed every 2500 miles and at 100k it received new spark plugs, new brake pads and rotors, coolant flush, and transmission flush with filter. The tires on it are at about 70% and are excellent goodyear winter tires. It does have a prior salvage title, but the only parts that had to be replaced was the front bumper, one headlight, and one turn signal. It occurred at around 40k and I had it inspected and passed a few years ago. There was no structural damage to the car and drives amazing. It has never let me down in the almost 70k miles that I have put on it. It has black cloth interior, tinted windows, and two remotes. Bought a suv and the car hardly gets used anymore. There is no rust on the car anywhere but is pretty dirty in the pictures do to Minnesota roads! Car is available for pick-up or can be delivered for an extra fee. Car is for sale locally so listing may end in the event of private sale.

Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. GM recalling 70k Chevy Malibus, Pontiac G6s over steering issue
Sun, Feb 15 2015A problem with the power steering system in the Chevy Malibu and Pontiac G6 has prompted General Motors and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for an estimated 69,633 vehicles. The issue revolves around the electric power steering assist, which could suddenly fail and increase the risk of a crash, especially at low speeds where the power steering is most helpful. The recall affects 2006-2007 Chevy Malibu sedans and Malibu Maxx wagons (specifically those manufactured between April 1, 2006, and June 30, 2006), as well as the Pontiac G6 (which was offered as a sedan, coupe or convertible) from the same model years and manufactured from April 18, 2006, to June 30, 2006. Owners of the affected units can expect to hear from the manufacturer with instructions to bring in their vehicles to their local dealers to have the torque sensors in the power steering system replaced. In the affected vehicles, there may be a sudden loss of electric power steering (EPS) assist that could occur at any time while driving. CONSEQUENCE: If power steering assist is lost, greater driver effort would be required to steer the vehicle at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the torque sensor assembly, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.
