2005 Grand Am GT Ram Air 29,xxx Original Miles

Clean and clear title.

Mechanical:

New Rotors and Pad installed this week along with a fresh oil change ( Mobil 1 full synthetic)

Runs and drives beautifully. No mechanical issues. No trouble lights on the dash. Everything works as it was intended to. There isnt anything that need servicing. This is a turn key (get in and drive) vehicle. A/C blows really really cold. Moon roof opens and closes with no hesitation. Tires currently have 40% tread life remaining. There is no pulsation when applying brakes and no vibration at higher speeds

Cosmetic:

Other than a superficial scuff on the lower portion of the rear bumper there are no scratches. No major dents and no rust. There is some lite oxidation on the outer lip of the chrome wheels, none on the face of the wheels. There are no holes or rips or major stains on the seats or the carpet. Non smoker vehicle.

In and out this vehicle is a 9.0 out of 10 in my book. Ive been working on cars all my life. This is a really clean and well taken care of vehicle.

Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?

Wed, 07 Oct 2009

DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.

This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.
