 1969 JUDGE TRIBUTE

Being offered is a very slick 1969 Pontiac Lemans GTO Judge Tribute. This car looks, runs, drives, and sounds awesome. Here is your chance to own one of the most sought after body styles GM ever made, and they are steadily going up in value each year. This car offers the following:

POWERTRAIN

This Pontiac is powered by a strong running 400 Motor. It's fueled by a newer Holley Carb, newer 8mm wires, HEI distributor, Long tube 3" headers, and dual 2 1/2" H Pipe exhaust with Flowmaster style mufflers. The car has recently had new belts, new fluids, new alternator. All suspension components, and Power Disc brakes are in good working condition.  The trans is a 350 Turbo that shifts nice. The rear is 10 bolt Posi with 3:55 gear. The car runs strong, and is a blast to drive.

EXTERIOR

This Pontiac has a very slick paint job, on a solid body. The car was professionally painted with PPG base coat clear coat, and has been well kept for shows and cruise in's, and shows mirror like reflections as can be seen in the pictures. I would rate the paint a strong 8.5 - 9. The car has a few small stress cracks on front endura bumper, and 1 small spot the size of a eraser tip, on the passenger side rear of hood, hardly noticeable but worth mentioning. See Last Pics. The car has nice chrome on bumpers, and all emblems, and trim pieces around the windows. The door and trunk jams are finished out nice as well. The undercarriage is very solid. The floors, frame, trunk pan, and rockers are all very solid.  All glass and trim around glass is nice. All weatherstrip, and fuzzys are nice. The Judge has a very nice set of New American Racing Polished Torq Thrust 2 wheels, 17 X 7 fronts, and 17 X 8 Rears, 215 45 17 fronts and 245 45 17 rears and nice Z rated tires.

INTERIOR

This 1969 has a very clean interior. The front and rear seats are in great condition. They are free from any rips or tears. The door panels are in great condition as well. The carpet, headliner, and other plastic trim is nice as well. The trim piece that has the light switch in it, has a small crack, and the car could use some new windlace in the door jam. The dash, gauges, and dash pad are in good condition. The car has a original, rare GTO steering wheel, the leather wrap has a small tear near the bottom under the cover. The car has a full set of GM seat belts front and back. This car has a awesome sounding stereo with Kenwood CD player, Ipod Aux jack, and Eclipse speakers. All lights, and gauges work as they should, except the hood tach. Overall a very clean nice interior.

Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.

Airbag recall adds 85k Pontiac Vibes to tally

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

The repairs needed for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata continue to expand. Toyota initially announced a recall of 766,300 vehicles equipped with the bad part on June 11 as a followup to a campaign from 2013. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a preliminary evaluation into five automakers who also used the component in their models. Now, NHTSA has released the official announcement of the latest Toyota recall listing 844,277 affected cars, including the newly added 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.
While NHTSA's document didn't include a model-by-model breakdown, General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler estimated to Autoblog that roughly 85,000 Vibes in the US would be covered under the latest recall. Like the rest of the affected models, the airbag inflator could rupture in a crash causing the bag not to work correctly, possibly spraying metal fragments at the occupant.
Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the reason for the disparity between the earlier press release and NHTSA document was that Toyota was continuing to comb through VINs to create a list of affected vehicles. The original number was an estimate of that process at the time. Scroll down to the recall report from NHTSA.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
