I have a 2005 GTO with an all forged calleys engine(403ci stroker crate motor), fully built 4L80E racing transmission with manual valve body, Magnuson supercharger set at 20psi, methanol injection kit, patriot headers, spintech exhaust, custom interior, and much more. It is a Texas car with no rust, and professionally built with over 50k invested. There are only 45k original miles on the car, and only 7k put on since the build. The car made over 800rwhp/800tq on the dyno at RDP motorsports in Ohio(check out the video on youtube!) This car has a rebuilt salvage title, so if you are interested in purchasing it, you will need to either pay cash, or get a personal loan. Banks will NOT give loans on salvage title vehicles, just to inform potential buyers. However, despite the ominous salvage title, this car was never wrecked and has been professionally built up to its current state. Please don't hesitate to ask me for any details on this, I will be glad to answer any inquiries you may have, and clear up any confusion. I bought this car a year ago from Texas, but unfortunately here in NY I can't get it to pass inspection due to our emissions testing(no O2 or mass airflow sensors),which is the main reason why i'm selling. Please be sure to check your state's emissions and inspections laws before you consider purchasing this car. In addition, to save potential questions, I did not build this car, I purchased it the way it was. Unfortunately, I do not have any paperwork on the build or any receipts. I also do not know what rear end it has. I do know that every part of this GTO has been reinforced to handle the power it makes, according to the previous owner and my experience. This is an extremely high quality GTO with some serious power, and I have ran it in the 1/8th mile a few times, it ran 6's! The previous owner ran 9's in the quarter..This car han't been beat on or raced very much, and car is very streetable for a car with so much power, and also very reliable, I've never had any issues with it. Please check out these youtube videos on the car, type in "800rwhp GTO" and "GTO summer's ride" to see it in action. Its very rare to see a GTO with over 600rwhp, let alone 700 or 800rwhp! It is definitely one of those "next level" GTOs and is in excellent shape with alot of money and parts into it. Please don't take the salvaged title to mean the car is worth less, its absolutely top of the line with zero damage. Please feel free to come take a look at the car in person any time or make an offer, or if from out of state, hire an inspector! I've had 6 GTO's including a 700 hp twin turbo, and currently I have too many toys including a 2006 procharged GTO and a 2007 corvette, and this orange goat will absolutely blow away any of them, having close to 1,000 hp at the flywheel and an auto transmission! just your average pontiac that can smoke a ferrari or lamborghini...To be fair for what the car has got into it, I'm asking 25K or B/O. Yes, I know, that's over book value, and yes, I know I want to sell...but I'm not just going to dump it for 14 grand cash lol! or trade for 2 used dirt bikes plus 2 grand cash..or anything else your crazy mind can come up with. If you're looking to have the fastest ride in town in time for summer, or the coolest car at your local car show, this is it! Please be fair and honest with me if you're seriously interested, I've done my best to divulge all the info I could but if I've left anything out, please ask! P.S. I really prefer to deal outside of ebay, to save costs, so please contact Eric at (716)799-4064, or Jenn at (716)335-3754. Thanks for your interest and happy bidding!

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
Porsche Syberia RS rally car is what you make when you need a Hummer that's fast
Fri, Apr 24 2020Some history: The Porsche 911's first-ever race was the 1965 Monte Carlo rally, entered because Porsche's PR man at the time wanted to show how much the future icon could do. A year later, Porsche began selling an optional rally kit for the 911 that included Recaro seats, a roll bar, and adjustable Koni dampers. Porsche produced factory rally racers until the early 1970s, winning Monte Carlo three times in a row before letting privateers carry the torch so the factory could focus on campaigning in the East Africa Safari. After years of painful lessons, when Porsche took its brand-new 1978 911 SC to the safari, the 3.0-liter flat-six coupe was hours away from winning the race before damaging the suspension, demoting the car to second place. Porsche fans wanted their own replicas, and finding the new 911 to be an affordable option, the SC — built from 1978 to 1983 — went from denoting "Super Carrera" to "Safari Car."  Porsche took a big step up in with the 953 rally car. Built to win the 1984 Paris-Dakar, which it did, the 953 introduced the four-wheel-drive system Porsche would evolve for the 959 in 1985 and the 964-series 911 in 1989, as well as the now-unforgettable 911-based Rothmans livery. All of this is what's fueling today's 911 Safari Car revival around the world. Almost all of today's builds start with the so-called G Model 911s, produced from 1973 to 1989, usually focusing on the SC and the Carrera that ran from 1984 until 1989. Fast forward to 2007 when a mysterious crew organized the TransSyberia Rally, a "sports-touring" event that stretched 4,500 miles from Moscow to the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar. Of the 34 vehicles that entered, 25 were Porsche's purpose-built Cayenne S Transsyberia Edition. Put this all in a pot and you have the beginnings of the car that brings us here, the Syberia RS. It's said that a German fellow by the name of Kai Burkhard wanted to buy a Humvee, but the low top speed, around 50 miles per hour, put him off. So instead, he imported a 1986 911 "in collector condition" from Japan with the idea of rebuilding it to provide almost all the off-road fun he could have had in the H1. Burkhard tapped the Tailor Made department at German suspension designer H&R, and the two set to work creating a build like the 953 Dakar winner. This content is hosted by a third party. Porsche Sports Car Together Fest is a labor of many Porsche loves
Sat, Sep 17 2022Over Labor Day Weekend, Porsche held its second annual Sports Car Together Fest (SCTF) at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We happened to be nearby, so we swung by to check out an event we’d never heard of until a few weeks before. Reading about it on Porsche's U.S. web site made us think it would be something like Rennsport Reunion for the Midwest. Turns out SCTF is just as much of a different kind of fun. The fest Tom MooreÂ’s the man behind Dark Horse Motorsports, the motorsport consultant for Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) PR. "People love Rennsport Reunion, but thatÂ’s every three to four years," he explained. “We wanted to gather people on those off years, and we didn't want to just do a mini Rennsport, because thatÂ’s its own thing. WeÂ’ve maintained the motorsport history at Rennsport. Here [at SCTF], we're doing the current look at what Porsche racing is for." In this case, that means gathering what Moore called "our Porsche motorsport pyramid." ThatÂ’s the range of enthusiast drivers from novice to hotshoes trying to get to top-tier endurance racing, "[starting] with the progression from Porsche Club of America track days up to the top of the ladder of one-make racing in North America," the Carrera Cup North America, a series made up of nothing but the latest 500-horsepower 911 GT3 Cup cars. The three days of racing action allowed almost any kind of Porsche owner interested in clipping apexes to compete around an Indianapolis Motor Speedway layout tweaked with an infield section. This year, that included ex-NASCAR star Jeff Gordon, coming out of retirement to reunite with his longtime NASCAR crew chief Ray Evernham for the top-class Cup races. Evernham told us Gordon hasnÂ’t raced in five years and he hasnÂ’t been a crew chief in 22. On very short practice, Gordon finished in 14th in the Pro Class in the first Carrera Cup race of the weekend driving the #24 Hendrick Performance Group Porsche, and 11th in the second race. Afterward, he said, "I made a pass on the white flag lap. That made my whole weekend Â… I must say that yesterday, I thought ‘man, I am getting beat out hereÂ’ and I donÂ’t like that. If I am going to be in an environment like this, I want to be competitive. But today turned the corner for me. So, I hope I get to do another one day." When we strolled the paddock after the event, exposed sheet metal proved "Rubbing is racing" is a thing in the Carrera Cup as well as NASCAR.
