The 6.0L LS2 engine runs very smoothly with loads of power on demand. The exhaust sounds amazing at every rpm and at wide open throttle it just screams! This GTO is an absolute joy to drive. Over $10000 has been invested into APS Twin Turbo kit including fuel system and bucket mod`s to make this a truly incredible car. Time to get off your butt and buy a car. In fact, the only thing Pontiac on this beast are the emblems. This is a fine Australian Holden Manaro, Americanized as a GTO. Stuffed full of 6.0 litres of Chevrolet muscle, pumping out 400 HP in stock trim routed through a 6 speed manual transmission. That's right you gotta shift her. Often. If you don't know how to handle your stick or don't have the leg strength to push in a clutch pedal then don't come around wanting to take her out on the road. You can skip on down to your local 'yota dealer and test drive a Prius. To be clear, if the fastest thing you have ever ridden in is your V-tec Civic or your bro's SVT Focus or Mustang- you should probably click the back button now. Your mommy won't like cleaning out the extra stains in your shorts. On the other hand, if you are searching for a clean, darn near new, low mile GTO to call your own then you should read on. This baby mostly stays in the garage, No one has ever eaten anything or smoked inside her. She has never been in rain, snow, sleet, or any inclimate weather. Heck, I rarely bring her out when it's cloudy - but she does love the sunshine! This is a 2005, the second to last year GTO EVER. The GTO badge, as well as the Pontiac brand, are long gone. She is a rare breed. Here are some numbers to wrap your head around - Total GTO's produced 04-06 = 40,754. Total One`s Impulse Blue, black interior, Blue gauges 6 speed, 17" wheels = 160 - makes her one of 160. Yup, only 159 others like her anywhere. OK, is she fast? Oh yeah! White knuckle ride right from the factory. And when the turbos spool up look out Remember this is a low mileage high performance car only driven on Sundays by a little old man getting groceries. |

Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.
2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern
Mon, 07 Nov 2011General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.
Tony Stewart to star in Smoke Is The Bandit web series
Mon, 10 Mar 2014NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is making good use of his nickname Smoke in new videos inspired by the 1970s classic Smokey and the Bandit. The original is one of the quintessential automotive movies of its era with a fantastic combination of slapstick comedy and great car stunts in a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. If you've never seen it, check it out immediately.
In the new six-part Smoke IS the Bandit web series, Stewart takes on the role of Burt Reynolds' famous character complete with huge mustache. But instead of trying to smuggle cases of Coors beer it's Mobil 1 oil. The series promises to recreate many of the famous scenes from the movie and includes cameos from other NASCAR drivers.
To complete the look, future videos just need a quality replacement for a young Sally Field to ride shotgun. It would also be really cool if Reynolds could make a brief appearance at some point. Scroll down to check out the trailer and the first episode in the series.
