I have for sale my 2004 GTO. Car has 56,343 original miles. Car has a warranty up to 87,000 miles, which is transferable. The car is in excellent condition, inside and out. Except for one flaw. The driver's side seat has had approximatly four inches of stitching that has come loose. This is not a rip or tear. The engine is a 5.7 liter, 346CID V8. It has 350 horse power, and 385 pounds of tourqe. It has had all it's schedualed oil changes, and I use MOBILE 1. This engine is healthy. The car has am automatice transmittion, with overdrive. Shifts really smooth, and I get almost 24 MPG. The rear ends is an IRS with a final gear of 3.46, all factory. For those of you that do not know, the drive line in the GTOs are the same as the Corvette for those years.

The interior is in excellent shape outside of the loose stitching I mentioned earlier. Door panels front and rear, headliner, front and rear dash, carpet; all in excellent shape. There are no grease stains, coffee stains, spots, ect. ect.. The car has all factory gauges. RMP gauge, battery, water, and has traction control. Headlights, taillights, turn signals, all electrical in working order. This car is loaded. Leather power seats for passenger and driver, Kenwood CD player, A/C, cruise control, fog lights, everything works. The body of the car is also in excellent condition. No dings, no dents, no accidents, The tires and wheels all in good shape. And before I forget, I think I am the second owner.

Well, I think that's about it. If you have any more questions, or would like more pictures of the car, just ask. Also, I am 47 years old, I do not put this car to the floor every time I drive it. I take care of this car. I'm not selling it because I want to.

The buyer is responsible for pick-up and delivery. As well as all shipping fees therein. I reserve the right to withdrawl this listing at anytime. I will assist the shipping company by phone, pending end of sale

General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]

Fri, 26 Aug 2011

You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.

Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
