YOU ARE BIDDING ON A VERY NICE 1965 LE MANS CONVERTIBLE WITH A 1968 428 375 HP ENGINE WITH A TRI-POWER AND A 4 SPEED!!!!! IT HAS A NICE SOUNDING CAM AND IT HAS REAL GOOD POWER!!!!THIS CAR APPEARS TO HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL SHEET METAL INCLUDING THE FLOORS, TRUNK, AND BODY PANELS. THIS CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN STORED INSIDE AND THE SAME OWNER FOR 30 YEARS!!!! THE ENGINE CODE SAYS IT IS A 68 428 375 HP AND THE TRANSMISSION SAYS IT IS A 68 M-22 4 SPEED. THE ORIGINAL COLOR WAS CAMEO IVORY WHITE. IT IS NOW SHADOW GRAY. THE CAR HAS BEEN PAINTED FOR ABOUT 20 YEARS. THE INTERIOR IS VERY NICE, IT WILL NEED A SMALL PANEL PUT IN THE REAR SEAT. VERY VERY MINOR. THE CARPET IS SHOWING SOME AGE BUT STILL PLENTY GOOD. THIS CAR IS A BLAST TO DRIVE AND I REALLY REALLY HATE TO SELL IT BUT I HAVE TOO MANY CARS AND NOT ENOUGH ROOM. I HAVE GONE OVER THIS CAR SINCE I GOT IT OUT OF A BARN THAT HAD FALLEN IN ON THE CAR. IT DID DAMAGE THE HOOD, RIGHT FENDER, AND THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. THE FENDER IS EASILY SAVED, THE HOOD IS JUNK, I WAS GOING TO PUT A GTO HOOD ON IT AND MAKE IT A GTO CLONE. I HAVE MOST ALL THE GTO EMBLEMS FOR THE CAR AS WELL AND THEY GO WITH THE CAR. THE TOP CANVAS IS ALSO JUNK AFTER A PIECE OF WOOD WENT THRU IT. THE METAL PART OF THE TOP IS GREAT IT JUST NEEDS THE CANVAS. THIS IS NOT A SHOW CAR BUT A VERY NICE DRIVER AND I MEAN A BLAST TO DRIVE!!!! THE CAR HAS 4 WHEEL MANUAL DRUM BRAKES AND IT STOPS WELL. I HAVE REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKES AND THE REAR BRAKES ALONG WITH SOME FRONT END PARTS. THE CAR GOES STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD WITH NO SHAKES OR PROBLEMS. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO COME AND DRIVE THIS CAR!!! THE QUARTERS, FLOORS AND TRUNK ARE VERY NICE. I WOULD GET IN THIS CAR AND DRIVE IT ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE FRONT TIRES ARE NEW AND THE REARS ARE OLD SCHOOL BIAS PLY AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE BUMPERS AND CHROME ARE ALL VERY NICE DRIVER QUALITY AND EVERYTHING LINES UP AND THE DOORS CLOSE JUST LIKE THEY SHOULD. THE TOP IS POWER BUT THE PUMP IS BAD( I THINK) DON'T KNOW THAT FOR SURE. I HAVE NEVER HAD THE TOP UP THE WHOLE TIME I HAVE OWNED IT. I HAVE TRIED TO GIVE A FAIR AND HONEST DESCRIPTION ON THIS CAR. IT IS SOLD AS-IS WITH NO WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL 614-402-4199 OR E-MAIL. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY BIDDING

GM Recalling Another 2.7 Million Vehicles In Five Separate Campaigns
Thu, May 15 2014The recalls keep rolling in from General Motors, evidently keen to avoid repeating the mistakes of the ignition-switch debacle and clean house. This time they're all coming at once, with five separate recalls announced together covering approximately 2.7 million vehicles. The largest of the five actions involves over 2.4 million units of the previous-generation Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura in order to fix brake light wiring harness, which have been found to be susceptible to corrosion. The recall is separate from the 56k Aura sedans which GM recently recalled over faulty shift cables, not to mention the previous massive recall of 1.3 million vehicles – some of them the same models – but appears to have resulted from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation that started with the G6 almost a year ago. The second-largest campaign involves the 2014 Chevy Malibu, specifically those fitted with GM's 2.5-liter engine and stop/start system, approximately 140,000 examples of which has been found to have problematic brakes. The issue does not appear to be connected to the recall of 8k Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans (also involving brake woes) which we reported upon last week. Four crashes have been reported in such models, but GM admits it's not yet clear if the problem was a contributing factor in the accidents. A further 112k Corvette models from the 2005-2007 model years are being called in for problems with their low-beam headlamps resulting from a flexing relay control circuit wire that's not meant to bend. GM says it is "aware of several hundred complaints" about this issue, but notes that there have been no reports of related accidents. In addition, over 19k examples of Cadillac CTS from the 2013 and 2014 model years are being recalled over windshield wipers that might not work after a jump start. Finally, GM is also bringing in 477 examples of its 2014 Chevy Silverado, Tahoe and GMC Sierra (though not the Yukon) to fix a problem with a tie rod in its steering rack. As ever, all recall repairs will be performed free of charge, and GM is now estimating that recall-related actions this quarter will result in an estimated $200-million charge against its second-quarter earnings. Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes
Mon, 31 Mar 2014When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
