Introduction
Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS,LLC.  You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve listed for sale nationally.  I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience.  I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I consign multiple classic cars and trucks at all four of the Barrett Jackson auto auctions every year. I’m considered one of the top consignors at Barrett Jackson.  I’ve had many classic cars and trucks sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles for each event.  They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012.  I’m a regular consignor at the Mecum auctions as well.  I also have had many cars that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites.  I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and have also coordinated restorations from start to finish.  I’m currently not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money.  I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it!

Two years ago I opened a beautiful new facility located in Seekonk, MA.  MS CLASSIC CARS is open to the public on Saturdays.  We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale. We also offer complete automotive detailing.  Our facility is very neat and organized.  When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity.  We except all trades.  If you’d like to be added to our VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up.  Please also like us on Facebook for updates.  The power of networking is amazing!

Market
I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase.

Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character.

“I’m putting my money where my mouth is”

I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz.  I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time.  Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public.  Overall things were going just fine.  However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership.  I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership.  I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead.  Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong?  I consign anywhere from three to eight cars at each Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve because I know there’s always going to be bidders for classic cars and trucks.

Description

5,300 Documented Original Miles!

Three Owner Documented Car!

Window Sticker, Build Sheet and Owner’s Manual!

Loaded with the desirable options!

These third generation Firebird Formulas are very tough to find with low miles!

The undercarriage is very clean and very original with all the factory chalk marks and tags.  Compare this undercarriage to most cars on the market!

Showcasing a beautiful 1989 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350!  Attention collectors and third generation Firebird enthusiasts. The car you're about to witness is the real deal.  As my website indicates I’m a huge third generation Camaro and Firebird fan.  I’ve collected and sold many Camaros but never have purchased a third generation Firebird.  The Firebird Formulas are very tough to find with low miles.  This car is the right color combination with all the desirable options which I’ve listed below.

When I had the opportunity to purchase this car I couldn’t pass.  I’m very proud that this is my first third generation Firebird I’ve ever had.  It was built in Van Nuys, CA and was shipped to Jay Pontiac located on 566 Broadway in Bedford, OH.  It spent its entire life in Ohio and was babied by its three owners.  I purchased the car from the third owner who has owned the car since 2003.  The title and Auto Check report documents the owners and odometer reading which I’ve pictured below.  The original build sheet and window sticker is also pictured below.  This car has always been garaged which is very obvious from the photos.  It still retains all the factory chalk marks and stickers.

Everything on this car shows like a car with only 5,200 original miles.  When I got the car we completely detailed everything from top to bottom.  The black paint is in beautiful condition and has been buffed to a show quality shine. In my opinion this car looks the best in black.  When I think about a Firebird or Trans Am I recall the Smoky and the Bandit car or Knight Rider.  These cars were all black.

The interior is in amazing condition and 100% original.  It still has that new car smell.  Even the original floor mats are in outstanding condition!  Everything in the interior works as it should.  Sitting in this car feels great looking over the factory hood scoop.  The dash has a lot of gauges which makes you feel like you’re in a cockpit.

The engine compartment very detailed.  The 5.7 liter FI V8 engine that starts and runs excellent.   It only has 5,200 original miles so it’s barley broken in.  This car would great to own for multiple reasons.  Not only is it a great investment but can be driven and enjoyed at car shows, etc.  Listed below are the factory options that were ordered with this car.  Get it before some else does!

If you read my introduction tab or visited my website you’ll probably agree that I’m a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic cars and trucks.  My reputation and feedback speaks for itself.  No vehicle is perfect and I want to be 100% upfront about each car.  This car does have a few tiny imperfections as it’s a 25 year old car.  Please call me at #508-557-0152 or email me with any questions.  I’ll tell you everything I know about the car and go over the entire exterior panel by panel if need be.         Classic cars and trucks make great investments and are extremely fun to own.  It’s so exciting to search for a classic, purchase one and watch it come off the trailer, add your own touches, take it for a ride or just look at it sitting in the garage after a hard day at work.  Classic car and truck collectors aren’t just in the United States but worldwide.  The classic car and truck market is growing every day.  It’s seen at car shows and auctions, in magazines and on TV shows.  Get your new classic car or truck today.  You only live once, if you can afford it, do it!

I do the best I can to represent my classic cars and trucks.  My results, feedback and reputation speak for themselves. Everyone’s opinion of a classic car and truck is different and I encourage questions prior to a purchase. I have a beautiful showroom with excellent lighting and a lift for a complete inspection if requested. Inspections will be scheduled by appointment only.  The closest airport is Providence, RI.  It’s only a 25 minute ride from the dealership.  I can arrange to pick up at the airport.  I also have a dealer plate that would allow for a test drive with a valid driver’s license for a serious buyer.  Please call 508-557-0152 or email for any questions.  Thank you.

                                                                                                                              Sincerely,

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.

Junkyard Gem: 1988 Pontiac LeMans Sedan

Tue, Feb 7 2017

During the 1960s, the Pontiac LeMans was a sporty, rear-wheel-drive midsize car, the GTO's cheaper sibling. Through the 1970s and into the middle 1980s, the LeMans became a bit less youthful-looking but remained a traditional rear-wheel-drive Detroit machine with a V8 engine option. Then, starting in the 1988 model year, the LeMans name went onto a South Korean-built version of the misery-inducing, front-wheel-drive Opel Kadett E. These were dark days for the Pontiac marque; here's the proof, photographed at a San Francisco Bay Area self-service wrecking yard last month. This one didn't quite make it to the 100,000-mile mark. These cars were very, very cheap and sold reasonably well, but nearly all of the 1988-1993 LeManses are hatchbacks. I have seen a total of two Daewoo LeMans sedans during the last decade, and this is one of them. Under the hood, 74 raging Opel/Daewoo horsepower. This content is hosted by a third party. In the United States, the ads for the LeMans were all about the hatchback, and all about cheap excitement. 1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.
